We don't have much, if anything, to offer Lamb. And, as you said, he's finally coming around on a good contract. He was someone I wanted us to target last year.

You want a guy who is coming off of two MAJOR injuries...? Absolutely not.

It's probably why we can get him at a below market-value contract. He's only 22 and his game never relied on athleticism (unlike Rose. Plenty of teams will be after him.

There's no such thing as under value when the guy is a RFA...and you even said "plenty of teams will be after him."

Just because he's someone who hasn't relied on his athleticism doesn't mean going after him is smart. He screwed up his knee...twice...in the same knee...after injuring his foot as a senior in HS.

Again, very bad idea. Absolutely not.

Reke would be interesting for us but, we're just not in a position to offer the Grizz anything they would want or we would/should be willing to part with for a 1 year rental of a guy with an injury history.

Nwaba?
Lamb?
Smart?
Tyreke?
Sweet Lou Williams?

I can’t lie, I like Nwaba a lot. Lotta activity and snarl to his game. Kinda hard to tell what Chicago would ask for but I’d definitely look into making a deal for him.

Lamb is a guy I’ve always felt would be better; a Rip Hamilton type. I thought he and Kemba could recreate that Uconn synergy. I’m not a fan at this point but he did have an 18 rebound game (against us?) this season and I’m a big fan of guards that get rebounds. The article notes his improvement in that area. I wouldn’t give up much for him. Not even for Lance. Lance’s leadership is more valuable to us than whatever Lamb brings. So if they wanna talk Noah for Lamb, sure. Sounds biblical. But other than that, I’m good.

Smart? Great fit in any backcourt but the best way to negotiate a trade with Danny Ainge is to not even answer the phone. He’s gonna want a haul. He’s not likely to budge. And that’s fine. And Smart is gonna get major paid by somebody this summer. Not us.

I like Reke more than most but he is what he is at this point and has no upside. He’s playing well in Memphis and making himself relevant again but the Grizz would want youth, picks and/or cap relief. I wouldn’t sacrifice any of those for Tyreke Evans.

Sweet Lou needs to be on a true contender. We should be looking for guys we can add to our core.

My targets:
1. Julius Randle. And yes, I’d pay him.

2. Timothe Luwa—-man, TLC from the Sixers.
Build an all French backcourt.

3. Cheick Diallo. Long and bouncy interior defender/rebounder. Proabably soaking up some goods in practice but that team needs right-now help.

4. David Nwaba. He has Tony Allen potential on defense for real. And he doesn’t have a funky Tony Allen shot so there’s room to improve as a shooter.

Notables: Jordan Clarkson, Justise Winslow, Kelly Oubre, Sam Dekker, Moe Harkless, Demetrius Jackson, Glenn Rob III, JayMychal Green, Stanley Johnson and Frank Mason III.

I know signing him could be a gamble given his knee history but that is our best chance to acquire him given that he is a RFA. What offer could we make that the Bucks would not match? If the Knicks are interested in Parker, their best course of action may be to try and trade for him now.

Trading for Jabari would be too high risk. I can't imagine giving a contract in someone with two serious tears to the same ACL ever being a good investment.

If the FO wants him, it'd be much better to just figure out what they're willing to pay him and offer it in the off-season. Trade any assets for him, and you might lose the assets for nothing if a team offers a contract the FO isn't willing to match.

If the Knicks trade Lee for assets / prospects and an expiring contract, they could flip that expiring contract for Bayless and probably get a 1st.

Not sure if correct but THC just said they only have 25 mil in cap space so they need to dump Bayless.

Too bad Tobias Harris isn't a free agent until after next season (2019) because he wanted to play here a couple of years ago and was hoping we would trade for him when he was in Orlando when his name was in trade rumors. He's a New Yorker as well.

You are correct It is very risky. The question is at what point do we take that gamble? As Knick fans know we have never been luck with players with health issues so I understand being gun shy going after someone with his type of knee issues. Unfortunately for us, free agents considered stars are either staying with their current teams for the super max or going to ready made teams that can challenge for a championship.

Waiting until the off season may be the best way to go. We should know what we have once the draft is over and see if we plan to wait until 2019 or 2020 to go big after free agents and hope one has the guts to sigh with us.

I'd rather take a chance on Trey Burke but Mike James was just released by Phoenix. Could be a decent backup PG option.

We should def look into cutting Sessions and grabbing James. He can play in this league as a backup

And then what do we do with him once we get him? Sit him like we did Sessions? He's not taking Jack's or Frank's minutes. And we already have Trey Burke in the G league where he's tearing it up.

I think James might be better than Burke at the PG position, but his shooting fell off a cliff after a relatively hot start.

If I'm cutting Sessions, I'd probably stick with Burke due to age alone.

Is anyone here interested in trading a combination of Lee, O'Quinn orHernangomez to San Antonio for their young talent? They could really use these guys and I'd love to have Murray, maybe a late pick and possibly Anderson or Bertans.

Lakers tryna get rid of Clarkson to create cap space for the summer. I'd love to add him to our young core especially bc we have little to none dribble penetration outside of Hardaway.

He would be a nice pick up. A third team would have to be involved in for the Lakers to get the cap relief they seek.

Is there any trade for Lee that brings back a 3. I don't think I can take watching LMFT any more. I appreciate his defense but he can be so frustrating.

I don't think the Spurs have EVER made an in season trade....
But if they did, Murray/Anderson/Forbes/Bertans are guys we should look into.
