NOP-NY - CHI - (NO goes for it, chi tanks )
Bulls trade -
- Robin Lopez
- Justin Holiday
-Christian Felicio
-Quincy Pondextor
- Cameron Payne
- 2018 2nd rd pick via NO
Bulls get -
-Jokim Noah
- Solomin Hill
-Willy Hernangomez
-2018 1st round pick unprotected via NO
-2018 2nd round pick from NY via Chicago
Why? They get rid of 2 good starters or really good role players they are helping them win games
For some draft picks and a young center in Hernangomez who is buddies with Mirotic and they get their pick back and get Noah back who the fans love and wil be their veteran leader and help make Portis and and Markkannen tough and they take on multiple bad contracts for players who won’t even play this year
NO trades -
- Omer Asik
-Solomon Hill
-2018 1st rd pick unprotected
No gets -
-Robin Lopez
- Justin Holiday
- 2018 2nd round pick from Chicago via NO ( there own pick back )
Why? They gain two good players to that will help their playoff push and gets them out of a couple bad contracts and the holiday brothers can be back together, they get their 2nd round pick back but also get Lopez who can be insurance if cousins bulls and Holiday is signed to a really good deal
NY trades -
-Jokim Noah
- Willy Hernangomez
-2018 2nd round pick via Chicago
NY gets-
-Christian Felicio
-Omer Asik - (exp next year )
- Quincy Pondextor
- Cameron Payne
Why? They take on couple smaller contracts and get a young center who was pretty good last year but been pretty bad this year but his contract is a lot smaller and they money off the books a lot sooner than they would with Noah! And can use Asiks contact next year as trade bait and dont have to give up their 1st round pick !
Thoughts ? I thought bout leaving Hernangomez out of the trade but wasn’t sure but this is just a trade offer I think it could be touched up a little bit to make it work for all parties but I think this trade is realistic and helps all teams

No way I would trade an unprotected 1st for Rolo and the other Holiday. Solo is not a bad contract for the Pels. We desperately miss him as he is our best wing. Our defense has collapsed in his absence. It makes no sense to trade Solo unless a quality defending wing who can shoot is coming back.

No one is trading an unprotected pick for a package like this. If you're sending out Lopez and Felicio, you aren't really offering that much cap relief.

Ugly trade. Doesn't make any sense for the pels. Bulls aren't eating Jos salary for this even with the felicio dump. Nobody is taking that deal. I guess the Knicks would do it just to foist Jo's immovable deal on someone else.

Felicio has nothing to do with the NO part of the trade at all and Solomon Hill is out for the year and Justin Holiday is a really good defender and can shoot the 3 and is on a contract twice as cheap as Hill and the upgrade from Lopez to asik is enough to push them into another tier of teams, how bout making the pick like this
- 2018 1st rd pick (lottery protected)
- if it doesn’t convey then it’s (top 8 protected in 2019 ) then top 3 protected in 2020 then its unprotected in 2021

This is what these contracts look after this season like just to show that your wrong about the bulls not taking on long term money Cuz they are
Bulls take on 30 mill per season for these 2
-Jokim Noah (2 years - 17. 8 million per season)
-Solomon Hill- ( 2 years - 12. 2 Million per season)
Pelicans take on 18.4 million - per season
- Robin Lopez ( 1 year - 13.8 million per season )
-Justin Holiday ( 1 year 4. 6 million per season )
Knicks take on total - 17.8 million per season
- Omer Asik ( 2 years - 10.6 million per season )
( last year isn’t gurenteed )
-Christian Felicio - (3 years -7.8 million per season)
I took pondextor and Cameron Payne and Hernangomez out of this version

Hill is due back from injury in February. Just enough time to get back to form for the playoff push and into the playoffs. Like pelifan said, they ain’t trading him unless a better starting SF is returning.
Holiday would be an extra luxury with Moore and Miller playing so well. Pels stagger Cousins and Davis at Center throughout the game, so Lopez wouldn’t even be needed especially at that salary and the pick cost.
And yea, no way unprotected pick. Has any team traded an unprotected pick since the Billy King Nets fiasco? People on here need to realize trading unprotected picks just doesn’t happen anymore in the NBA.

Which is exactly why i said it needs to be touched up to make it work and switched it to be lottery protected

I would do this if we were playing a slower pace. Lopez is actually the perfect partner for Cousins but only if they are willing to walk it up when Davis is out and they aren’t willing to do that.

This is a horrible trade for the Knicks. Feliciano makes 7.5 mil his last year and Asik's buyout is 3 mil. We're trading the CHI 2nd AND Willy just to save 8.5 on the last year of Noah's deal? Hard pass.
Edit, Feliciano's deal is 1 year longer than Noah's. That's even worse. Even more of a pass.

Yup, Bulls are taking on almost $26M here. Which is why it has no shot from their perspective. KC Johnson Bulls beat reporter already reported the Bulls aren't going to take on significant long term dead money. Which is the definition of Joakim Noah right now. So it's safe to say a single lotto protected 1st isn't going to change their minds. And this doesn't even address the loss of talent in the deal. This deal just needs to be put out to pasture.

I don't like this for the Bulls, too much salary for too little assets.
Pelicans shouldn't move Hill and RoLo isn't a great target for them imo.
I think the Knicks are the only ones that win out here.

Out of curiosity, how do the Knicks win in this trade?

Salary wise. I actually missed that Felicio was going to you guys but even still it's a big improvement on Noah's albatross deal.

It only saves us around 8 mil of Noah's last year (Asik's buyout is 3 mil), and then Feliciano is under contract the following year past that for 7.5 I believe. So we only have 8 more mil to spend the last year of Noah's deal, but overall, the money owed is the same. We give up Willy and the Bulls 2nd to save 8 mil for one year, and no net savings overall.
