I don't just mean on this board, I am talking more in general. There seems to be an attitude among a lot of Packer fans that if we fire Capers we can get to the Super Bowl, that's laughable.

This roster is at least 2 slam dunk off seasons away from even thinking about going to a Super Bowl. Then even if you build a championship contending roster you're not winning jack **** with Mike McCarthy at head coach, that's already been proven.

My thing is, if you're not going to fire MM & TT why even bother firing Capers. It's like if your house is infested with roaches, you're not going to solve the problem stomping on a couple of them, you have to bomb the entire house. The Packers organization is infested with Roaches and simply firing Capers would just be stomping on a few of them.

Is it that crazy? Put a defense out there that's at least league-average in the major categories: TOs, red zone D, points, 3rd downs. Pair with our offense, and I don't see why we wouldn't be a SB contender. Heck, even with a league-bottom defense, we're a SB contender...

No. Just need to fill holes and health.

Dont trust Thompson, Wolf, and Gutukunst to get them though, nor do I trust the current coaching staff to coach them (I used to be a TT and MM supporter)

Right now, 25% of next year’s team salary is locked up in Jordy, Cobb, and, Clay. Obviously that needs to change.

Time to say goodbye to TT and Mac, time is running out with Rodgers.

Ehh the Pats do this routinely. This is par for the course in the NFL.

From what I've seen/heard this is a joke. Even if they had to release him, he'd be re-signed shortly thereafter.

Most important decision this off-season is MM's contract. He has one year left - so he either goes into next year a lame duck or gets an extension (or gets fired I guess but I don't think Murphy has the balls).

If he gets an extension - the rest of the off-season won't matter as we'll be locked into the same thing we've had the last 7 years: a pretty good team if Rodgers stays healthy with heart breaking losses in the games that matter thanks to poor coaching decisions.

The Packers are **** because the 2 biggest problems with the team are MM & TT, but they'll be the ones making everyone else the scapegoats if any changes are even made.

You can fire Dom and overhaul the entire roster, but nothing is going to really change unless you cut the head off the snake and get rid of TT & MM.

I would feel significantly better if we kept Dom and made no roster moves but fired TT & MM. Than if we made a bunch of roster moves, fired Dom, but kept TT & MM.

Maybe I was wrong and the Packers are actually more pathetic than the Herb Kohl era Bucks. Maybe the Herb Kohl Bucks were not not that bad after all.

Dom should have been fired in 2013. There's clear miscommunication within his own defensive staff and it rolls onto the players.

The players on the field have no idea what they're doing. That's 100% coaching.

And yeah there's been a talent depletion thanks to TT's crappy drafting since 2011. TT also refuses to use the entire toolkit of building a team. We've seen how the Packers have declined with the 2015 season, the beginning of 2016, and the entirety of 2017 even when Rodgers was healthy.

While I want TT to go and a new regime to takeover, do you have faith in Murphy to make that decision? I actually really don't.

No one expects the league to force the Packers to release Rodgers.

Even if they did, Rodgers is predicted to opt out of his contract and get a new deal I thought. Either way it’s another black eye for our management.

Those wins over Cleveland do Tampa really hurt us in so many ways.

Yeah, except if they have to release him, they can't franchise tag him, and technically, he an go elsewhere.

Edited: didn't realize there was already a discussion here about this, so I moved the posts to this thread.

Out: TT, Mac, Capers and staff. Clay, Burnett, Bulaga, Jordy, Cobb
In: Mcdaniels, Robby-Coleman, vet Oline, resign House
Draft: Calvin Ridley, CB/OLB, OLB/CB, OL, TE prospect,, etc

Come back next year and plan to put up 40 each week and build your defense to just create QB pressure and picks.
