Post#1 » by alexb618 » Thu Dec 7, 2017 1:10 pm

he has a player option for year 2

surely he will opt out for more money if he keeps up this level of play, do you guys think he will sign w/SA again?

He hasn’t been that great this season and missed quite a bit of games due to injury too.

I think he's only missed 1 or 2 games and he's been pretty excellent off the bench for us actually.

It'll be an interesting decision for him. He came here because he wants to win but with what he's shown so far he could definitely get himself a major pay increase this summer.

Maybe it'll turn into a Gasol like situation, he opts out and we give him a bigger long term deal.

Gay has been a bit better than I thought, but always knew he was going to be solid in the Spurs system... and, he became over himself in recent years, and kind of had to be in the least this past year.

Better than expected pickup, and has played consistently and effectively. He can be relied on to score in multiple different ways, while having more and better energy, focus to get rebounds and defend -- this is what he's always been capable of (just like Aldridge before SA), but his offensive burden and focus didn't allow for it to be implemented with consistency from game to game.

Hope he keeps it going and getting better here

green, gay, anderson, parker are up for contract renewals...

ginoboli contract is expiring will open up space
parker for 10m or under u bring him back, anything more is overpaying loyalty to him
should try and move pau and get a big cheaper...
move pattys contract also, forbes is the cheaper option
see if u can resign all 4 players above back...

for once i agree with udrih14

maybe we can move pau and some other small contract and try to land demarcus in free agency, would be risky though and risky is something the front office don't really do

while i'm thinking out loud, nerlens noel...

Just the games I’ve watched this season, he hasn’t made much of an impact. I thought he’d be a good bench scorer that can maybe average like 12-16ppg on decent efficiency in Pop’s system but he hasn’t lived up to it imo.
