Think Ish might be too much of a ball-stopper. With Galloway we can run through the DHO. Can still score in iso.

Nah, let’s start Luke at point

People need to stop with the delusional 2k player type of mentality. Start Kennard at point. I still remember some posters wanted Stanley as point in the second unit as well. I mean, why not be honest and start to think if you're an average guy and SVG is getting millions training a Playoffs team in the best league of the world, is because you don't know more about basketball than him?

And I'm not saying he doesn't make mistakes, but some guys here are trying to be basketball genius while they're proving they can't even understand the game

Two games separates 4th seed (currently us) and the 9th seed (NYK). We can't go any long stretch with Kennard, Galloway or Buycks playing 20mpg at the point.

If Reggie is out for any serious length of time - this could be the impetus for a big(ish) trade.

The problem is, if we trade for a PG, we would have 6 guards demanding 20+ minutes in a few weeks, if we don't, we might be out of the playoffs hunt in a few weeks...

Reggie Ish new PG
Bradley Luke Galloway

If we trade for a PG, it's almost guaranteed Luke is out of the rotation for the rest of the season imo.

I would try to get someone cheap like Barea tho to run the 2nd unity, we need a scorer badly there when AT and Gallo are not hitting 3s

Boban and Johnson for DJ Augustin and Mario Hezonja? Rio could at least get hot as the second unit shooter, Augustin was in our system before. Augustin is signed through 2019-2020 season though - but it would open us into moving Ish Smith in the off-season, where he could have some positive value as an expiring quality back-up PG on a $6M deal.

If we trade with Dallas, I'd try to get Nerlens in any deal, and send out Ellenson (mostly I want him to work with Dirk for the ROS at least). Boban, Ellenson, top 20 protected first for Barea and Noel and a second(when they get our first)?

DJ's defense is worse than Reggie, I would not take him even without the extra year to be honest, that extra year makes it a no brainer no way for me.

I'd push hard for JJ Barea instead who is a much smaller contract and better scorer. Else I'd just try to sign either Udrih or Jennings.

That sounds like layman’s terms for sports hernia

the difference is that a sports hernia is an injury to the tissue in the groin area, whereas a stress injury/fracture is to the bone.

"Stress injury" is literally a catch all for any injury. What injury isn't caused by a stress?

a stress injury is repetitive pounding on a bone because the muscles can't absorb the constant impact so the bone takes the brunt of it. in this case it isn't the muscles themselves that are injured, it's the bone. muscular injuries are usually classified as strained (similar to stressed, i know), pulled, torn, etc. bone injuries are classified as stressed, fractured, etc.

his injury has been officially deemed a "pubic stress injury", which is to the pubic bone.

a sports hernia is probably more severe but all stress injuries are kind of a pain because time is the only thing that can heal it and if you come back too soon you can just make it worse. with muscular injuries you can generally tell by your strength/mobility how the injury is doing but with stress injuries the bone can feel fine - until the next time you land.

a stress injury is repetitive pounding on a bone.

If that's the case then most of this board is injured, I'm guessing.
