It was unreal. I don't think I've seen that kind of outburst before in all my years of watching the Nets. might have to go back to the Kidd/VC days to when Vince Carter and Richard Jefferson demolished Alonzo Mourning with three hammer dunks (two from VC, 1 from RJ) in a game versus the Heat, probably was 2006 if i remember correctly. But that was during the course of an entire game. Allen was doing that on back to back possessions in a row

he'll be starting before too long. defenses will pay a heavy price if they let him roll freely like the hawks did.

pump the breaks.... did you forget Kenyon MArtin? he would have some strings of sick dunks all the time. Chris morris as well. and lets not forget yinka dare (ok ive gone too far now)

That's why I said Kidd/VC days, post Kenyon. that was last time where we truly had someone throwing the hammer down on people like that.

Don't worry, I haven't forgotten those guys.

Hell I remember when Derrick Coleman dunked on Shaq clean. DC was a bad man, too bad his passion for the sport didn't match his insane level of talent.

Don't worry. Mozgov will be paid well to wave towels. Center rotation should strictly be Allen/Zeller w/ Booker as the small ball 5. RHJ doesn't really need to be doing that if he doesn't need to. Zeller has more than earned his spot in the rotation.

Allen's dunks look weird, like the rim is too low for him. Like I would look dunking on a 5 ft rim.

I think one of the biggest areas for improvement I've seen so far is his rebounding. A few times last night I noticed him get drawn to shots that he really had no business contesting, only to be out of position to grab the board - one sequence (with Collison I believe) stuck out in particular where Allen gave up an OREB and second chance points after going for a block. Doesn't seem like a huge deal though, I'm a big fan of Allen and think it's something that he'll improve on as he gets a better feel for the pro game. With his wingspan and athleticism, I think he has the potential to be both an excellent rebounder and rim protector.

That's nice, Capela is doing extraordinarily well, under MDA as well, Kenny's probably watching

Allen's Dec numbers:

18.2mpg 55.6 FG% 50.0% 3pt% 87.5 FT% 4.1reb 0.3ast 1.3blk 0.3stl 6.5pts

Making good progress. Needs to up those rebound numbers to be Capela-esque.

Didn't catch the spurs game. He had probably his best game stat wise. But how did he go defensively?

He got outmuscled on post ups by LMA and Gasol in the paint but he came in and did well contesting the fadeaway mid range shots from Aldridge.

You can tell the fro needs to get stronger in order to be able to finish better inside and to defend the post better. Still, he makes the opposing offense think twice since he does provide rim protection and is long and athletic AF. What has surprised me the most is his demeanor and BBIQ for 19 year old... similar to Levert last year he hardly ever makes stupid decisions on the court. Knows when to pass, shoot, screen, etc.

I think this rookie year for him will be huge for his development in order to get more experience on the court and to continue to get more confidence. He can get strong as he ages and during summer time.
