While there's still a small part of me that remembers the 12 years of disappointment, logically, it seems that it will last.

We have quite a few big decisions looming - Joyner, Trumaine Johnson, Watkins chief among them - but we have the space to bring the entire team back, and re-sign Donald long term.

Goff has grown so much in one year, I can't see a ceiling for him. He's forced his way into the top 5 in most relevant passing categories. More chemistry/growth with the WRs, who are all 26 or younger, will only help.

I don't remember the last time a team was this good, this young. I suppose Seattle when they were coming up, but this feels different, probably because the Rams are capable of dominating a game offensively or defensively.

The funny thing about Football & the NFL is that things change rapidly from year to year. You never know how long a club can sustain success. Injuries, chemistry, Team's adjusting, more difficult schedule, etc. The Rams should be competitive going forward. But, again you never know. It's a lot harder to duplicate a successful season the following year. Especially when teams are more geared to chase you instead. I mean...Just ask any Dallas fan.

Sure...it's tough.

The Seahawks and the Rams were/are in similar situations - insane amount of talent around a relatively cheap QB contract.

The thing is...you have to do two things when that QB contract comes calling that Seattle didn't do well:

1. Draft well to replace guys you will inevitably lose when you pay the QB
2. QB has to progressively get better to offset some loss in talent

Goff is the key. He had a statistically great season this year - top 5 across the board. I'm VERY encouraged considering his season last year.

But right now he looks more like a middle of the pack/tier 2 QB - i.e. his stats make him appear better than he is. He's still really good - but he needs to improve quite a bit before that contract comes calling. Nice thing about being a first round pick is that 5th year option. This is the same feeling I have about Wilson and why I get confused when people try to paint him as elite. He's a good player, and you have to keep him and pay him - but short of continuing to draft well, you aren't winning a super bowl with him as QB making $20+ million per year.

And before you say "wow you really hate him" - there are only maybe three QBs I believe you can win a super bowl with making that much money - but I'm pretty sure no team paying a QB $20+ million has ever won a super bowl.

And obviously the Rams have a ways to go to even be considered a top team consistently, but we're off to a good start.

That sounds absolutely miserable. Though Lambeau is certainly on the bucket list

It was actually awesome. The true lambeau experience!

Too bad you were not able to come to Boston and see your Rockets play tonight. The Boston Garden is one of the most special experiences you can have.

Isn't the Garden a completely new building?
