I'm watching the game. Bullock, Dre and Ish were amazing the 1st quarter, and we showed a lot of good things on defense. Tobias doesn't play well when he misses his first shot and that annoys me.
Tolliver and Galloway were such quality players for us at the start of the season and they're so bad right now, they can't hit open 3's anymore.

Outstanding games by Andre and Bullock. Very nice to see Kennard do what he's good at.

Hopefully with a few days off Avery will be back before the next game.

Tolliver slowed down LMA so I'm ok with his contribution but I'm really disappointed that Galloway can't even run the offense for short periods.
It makes the Galloway signing that much more disappointing. If he's only a backup SG, he's not even close to a 21M/ 3 year commitment.

Tolliver is in there for his defense, any shots he makes is just icing. He basically shut LA down and he has been very good defensively all season.

Yes I know Tolliver defense is good, Galloway defense is also good by the way, however they gotta make those wide open 3's, at least some of them. They both went 0/4 and all 8 shots were easy shots they were hitting earlier this season.

No, but I seriously thought about it... got Powerball tickets instead.Kilo wrote:Finn McCool wrote:Kilo wrote:We're gonna get jacked.
I posted this previously, but in each of the last 4 seasons, the Pistons have had 9 losses in December. They have 9 losses currently. So just out of not wanting to buck the trend, I say the Pistons win tonight.
Did you put any money on the game?
I changed my mind mid game about the win when I noticed Smith shooting as if he would take his ball and run home of he didn't get take all those shots. I begin to cringe whenever that guy gets around 12 shots.

Impressive win! I really hope Bullock can sustain this level of play

Well if winning this game in spite of both of them missing so many shots is any indication, if they start making them we're gonna be absolutely dominant!

It would be unprecedented if he did.engelbert321 wrote:Impressive win! I really hope Bullock can sustain this level of play
Bullock has always had the talent to be a 20ppg scorer and be an,excellent player. His mental fortitude is what is lacking. He has zero confidence in himself and whatever gains he makes in that area, gets lost shortly thereafter.
At his age, he is who he is.
Anyone else remember Keith van horn? When the playoffs rolled around he was a train wreck.
Just happens to some people. They cannot handle pressure of any kind.

I'm more than happy with him if he just keeps up solid efficiency. He's a 3&D player that just requires efficient 3point shooting for big mins.

I think a lot has to do with being comfortable in Detroit with his teammates and the familiarity of what SVG wants him to do.
I think he could have been productive for sustained stretches but injuries slowed him down in the past.
If he can stay healthy, I think he's a solid role player.

While it is unlikely he will keep shooting in the high 40s from 3, I don’t see A reason to expect Bullock play to regress that much. He is playing well within himself, doing what he does best, cutting to the basket and knocking down open 3s. Confidence comes also from familiarity white ones roles and tasks and Reggie has that in SVGs system.
The big difference this year imo has been Bullocks progress as a defensive player. He took a significant step forward in that aspect which has allowed him to play a lot more minutes, and take away pressure from the need for him to contribute offensively. He now knows he will stay on the floor even if his shot is not falling which allows him to shoot more freely with less pressure.
We needed one of our fringe guys to pop to establish and define our crunch time 5 and realistically have a chance to win a playoff series. We were all hoping it would be Stanley, but I’d be equally happy if it is Bullock. I think he is for real
