Besides shutting down an unhealthy Rodgers, we played a lot of vets and never gave young guys a chance (Like Callahan)

I have to think that Callahan not getting any burn has a lot more to do with the true skill level of Callahan than thinking Hundley has played great.

Hundley was so bad though it made absolutely no sense to not at least give Callahan a shot. Especially once we were out of the playoffs.

It makes you think that maybe Callahan is better than Hundley but McCarthy would have dug his own grave by throwing Callahan in there had that been the case.

But when you know one guy sucks and you think the other guy probably sucks, you give the other guy a shot. That's the point. McCarthy not giving Callahan a shot was not a good look for McCarthy.

Eh, even on that last drive he came in and looked like the guy he was in preseason. He is scrappy with no arm. I think that it is much more damning that we didn't go out and try to get a free agent player. Colin Kaepernick is just an upgraded version of Brett Hundley.

I think that there are much more damning things about McCarthy than the fact he didn't give a probable bum that he sees every day in practice some burn in games. The one at the top of the list being that his offense is no longer revolutionary, and much like Capers it has become a relic that is mostly buoyed by Rodgers' genius.

Looking quickly at some mocks, we definitely can add an impact player at 13-15.

Got in a Facebook argument with a friend who's a lions fan. He was happy they swept the packers and that they played their starters. My argument was they ruined draft position and risked hurting players just to say they swept the packers. The lions are such a bad franchise. We are over here bitching about not winning super bowls and there are organizations striving to sweep the packers and finish out of the playoffs. Makes me put things in perspective. That being said fire McCarthy and TT.

I recall many years where a 9-7 Packers finish, even with no playoffs, would have been a huge success. Anyone Packers fan under the age of 35 hasn't experienced NFL fan reality. The Packers, Patriots and Steelers are about the only fan bases that haven't had to deal with massive derp at various points the last 20-years.

As A-Rod enters his mid-30's and TT turns 66 years old our "Winter" might be coming. If it does come, we'll be ecstatic for 9-7 season and a first round ouster.

Ted invested a draft pick in Hundley and i'm sure he'd want to see Hundley get any possible snaps to completely fail because Callahan isn't the answer as a main backup QB going forward.

Unfortunately, Hundley has terrible instincts and accuracy, so that makes backup QB yet another need which has to be addressed this offseason on a roster with talent shortcomings all over the place.

I'd assume that a QB will be drafted, but with needs on the OL, WR, TE, ILB, OLB, CB, and potentially even safety, it would suck to use a pick in say the first 3-4 rounds on a QB. If though Ted refuses to sign a veteran backup QB, we could be back next year with incompetence backing up Aaron.

Thinking Fast and Slow. Written by a Nobel Prize winner and explains 2 different ways the brain thinks. It’s relevant when talking about QBs because the best can use the slow part of their brain to diagnose defenses and coverages as they approach the line.

Anybody can do that if they watch enough film. The best QBs can use instincts (thinking fast) to work through their progressions, see blitzes, etc.

Hundley can’t think fast, which is why he takes his 20-step drops trying to figure out what is going on.
