numbers prove it now. He is a defense demon. should be getting ton of mins against cavs

Split LeBron's minutes between OG and Pascal and we'll have 12 fouls to give without big difference who is guarding him

suit up big cat if we have to. we got some roster spot available 8-)

Can't wait until Pascal starts getting a consistent good shooting %. Until then, at least his defence and energy is really helping the team.

Total Defensive Rating:

1. Draymond Green
2. Anthony Davis
3. Kristaps Porzingis
4. Pascal Siakam
5. DeMarcus Cousins
6. Rudy Gay
7. Robert Covington
8. Andre Roberson
9. Kent Bazemore
10. Giannis Antetokounmpo

The stat is divided between Perimeter Defensive Rating (PDR) and Interior Defensive Rating (IDR), where Siakam ranks 24th in PDR and 14th in IDR for an overall TDR of 4th. His defense has been Draymond Green esque in that regard who ranks 21st in PDR and 11th in IDR for a TDR of 1st overall. Shows off how versatile he is.

Other Raptors:

Perimeter Defensive Rating:

Serge Ibaka -3.4
Kyle Lowry -0.3
OG Anunoby 1.2
DeMar DeRozan -0.3

Interior Defensive Rating:

Serge Ibaka 3.2
Kyle Lowry 0
OG Anunoby -1.5
DeMar DeRozan -3

Unfortunately no other data for any other Raptors is out there. For what it's worth Kyle Lowry last year in PDR was at 3.15.

Interesting to see Cousins and Rudy Gay near the top as well. Not sure what that says about defensive rating, but if Cousins is a net positive defensively, I say make an offer before next year's deadline. Try one year with this exact roster and then add another star if possible to the starting lineup for year 2 of the 3 year run.

Delon, Siakam, Poeltl and OG can all already guard multiple positions, create havoc in passing lanes, switch in the P&R and guard their own man in isolation. These guys are WAY better than I ever gave them credit for as prospects - special shout outs to Poeltl, Delon, and yes, even Casey.

Is there a player that runs the break harder than Siakam? He might be the fastest guy playing PF/C in the league.

Dont mean to derail but this is clear that Serge should be a Center and stay in the paint on defense.
