Hi everyone !
I wanted to know what you were thinking about the way lance has been playing this year.
I think after a rough start, he has been one of the reasons this team is having success.
Lance Stephenson

Re: Lance Stephenson
he's been a key part of the second unit but I don't think we'd be better with him starting. I also like using Poythress at 3 and keeping Lance at 2.

Re: Lance Stephenson
I like how we are using Lance currently. Spends a lot of time on the floor with Domas. He works much better as a combo guard than an off ball SF. When he plays the 3, he seems lost and like he doesn’t have a role because his outside shot just isn’t that consistent. I also think he doesn’t belong on the floor with Darren Collison who also really doesn’t do much off the ball. Joseph makes much more sense next to Lance IMO.
I don’t think we need to change much in the way we’re handling Lance overall, though.

Re: Lance Stephenson
Yeah Lance off the bench has been really good, in the starting lineup hit or miss. He's still a very streaky guy so we can't rely on him to start. He, Sabonis, and Joseph have been a nice 6-8 so far.

Re: Lance Stephenson
I would like to see Lance start at point. He's the best passer on the team. Collison is a good player but I have always been a supporter of Lance and would love to see him at point guard.

I agree with you completely on the issue of Lance at SF he gets lost and forgotten about he should have the ball coming down the court and we'll see good things happen.

Re: Lance Stephenson
As a starter I think Lance gets exposed. He makes too many bad decisions and in pick and roll he’s not that hard to defend because you can always move under the screen. As an energy guy playing against subs for 18 min/game he’s fine. Night in night out 30 minutes is too much. He still tends to be a ball stopper. As for working with Sabonis every guard or wing we have seems to me have success.

Re: Lance Stephenson
I do think Lance benefits from running the second unit rather than trying to fit into a starting role and having to coexist with other starter level guys who need the game adapted to them to get the most production out of them. The Lance Stephenson Experience is definitely the most entertaining 2nd we have seen in awhile.
I'm not sure that's how I felt about his game the first-time around. I might have to go back and watch a few clips from older games and look specifically at how he seemed to fit with West and George on the floor both needing the ball and to do their thing.

Re: Lance Stephenson
I think Joseph and Domas paired with Lance is a great partnership. Joseph doesn’t need the ball as much as the others to be effective and hence giving Lance more of the ball. Domas has a good connection with Lance.

Re: Lance Stephenson
Lance matches up a lot better with the opposing team's second unit. I don't mind seeing him starting when the starters are injured, but at the same time I don't think he's someone you'd want to play 30+ minutes a night on a regular basis.
