The Hated Ones at the Ravine Series once again

Post#1 » by Minhee » Tue Jul 31, 2007 3:32 pm

Lots of storyline in this series. Will Penny be able to go? Will we maintain first place? The NL West is wide open right now as SD, Rockies, and D-Backs are all within striking distance.

Will the most hated of them all tie/break the HR record in our house? He broke the last single season record against Chan Ho Park (in a Dodger uniform). Are we doomed for another curse in the record books?

Well we did that a few weeks ago at their house. As much as I love seeing that again, I just don't think we can. The man is out for revenge especially against our depleted arms. This doesn't look good.

I am hoping he doesnt hit it on the road anyways. He should hit it at home so people don't riot and make it a bigger deal than it actually is.

Penny is going for number 14 tonight.

All I know is that if I was going to the game and he hit the home run I'd boo as loud as I can.

But the real question is what would you do with the actual ball if you caught it?

Penny walks Bonds and then SF hits into a double play.

Ok we have bigger problems than Bonds. Penny is throwing like crap. He is walking everybody, loads up the base 0 out. Now we are down 3-1. Penny's injury is kicking in I bet. Not looking good.

Penny was solid until that 6th inning when he walked just about every batter he was facing and giving up two runs. Our inability to score runs with runners on really frustrates me. These guys swept us last time in LA so we better not let that happen again.

If last night was bad, it gets worse tonight. Hendrickson is going so unless we score a lot of runs we are probably going to lose. Bonds might as well tie or break the record tonight. Even if he doesnt, he gets the crappy Tomko tomorrow night. We desperately need a starting arm. We have two of the worse pitchers at the end of the rotation. Thanks a lot Jason Schdmit!

I am so bummed out living here in Carlsbad. ( well not totally) but I dont get the Dodger games on FSN. What is weak is that I do get LA FSN but when the Dodger games play they pre empt with the best damn sports show something. Padres are on a totally different network. weak...

I was in LA yesterday and there was a lot of hype to the game and when i got home I had to watch online.

GO BLUE! BOO BONDS!

I would sell it happily.. and unlike Vic the brick .. I wouldnt give it to charity. I would give it to me

If bonds hits a dinger in Chavez and I catch it.. I will boo him and then sell the ball. Win Win

I'm going to the Russell Martin's bobblehead night. To be quite honest, i don't know how I'll feel if Barry breaks or ties it tomorrow. On one hand, not many will be able to say "I was there when Barry broke or tied Hanks' record." You know, one of those moments where you can tell your grandchildren about and etc. The possibility of catching it (I'll be sitting in LF) is pretty exciting too. But on the other hand, as Dodger fan, you don't want Barry to do it against us (He tends to break everything against us). If it happens, it happens i guess. Hopefully we'll win. BTW, NOMAR NEEDS TO STEP IT UP!

And we give up an insurance run to make the score 4-2. We're just struggling on offense and defense. It's as simple as that.
