We have the same record as the bulls, who just traded their star and are rebuilding and the nets who have sucked for years.

We are probably the worst situation in the league. Other teams who suck like us either have some high-end prospects, cap space or at least no bad contracts. We are the opposite.

I fully expect it to get worse, just wait for the day when we trade some combo of mkg/monk/frank/cody for some fringe starter vet.

Except the Bulls already have a solid young core in Dunn, Lavine, and Lauri. Were in deep **** right now.

I mean, if you enjoy watching a 7 win team more than a 48 win team, I kind of have to question whether you actually enjoy the game of basketball. I honestly don't think there is any way I could say that for any team.

Even if I agreed with tanking, I wouldn't go so far as to say I enjoyed actually watching 73 losses more than a playoff season where we finished tied for the 4th best record in our conference.

I didn't mention the 48 win season. That was easily the most enjoyable season since I started watching, but it unfortunately wasn't sustainable. Here is how I would rank the seasons of the Cho era in terms of overall enjoyability.

1 - 2015/2016
2 - 2012/2013
3 - 2013/2014
4 - 2011/2012
5 - 2017/2018
6 - 2016/2017
7 - 2014/2015

My bad, thought you were saying you preferred 2012-13 to anything after.

Kemba would prolly be a 3 to 4 time All-Star by now if he didn’t have to play for this trash team lol. Cho better get fired in 2018.

Maybe, but I doubt it. He was interesting but not great early on. Winning matters too.
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

That’s what I’m saying. If the team could stand ground when he goes to the bench then we’d be winning close to 65% of our games.

Kemba got the 2nd highest PER, Value Added, and Estimated Wins Added of all point guards in the East.

I'm not going to pretend that my opinion or more appropriately my POV is better than anybody else's, I know I'm an outlier on this.

I actually care about basketball so much (or did care) that I don't care about wins or losses. I cared about the game in a "it's the journey, not the destination" kind of way. 48 wins of largely ugly basketball and happenstance? Who gives a ****? I'd rather see my team play basketball properly, with integrity and passion for actual basketball, and lose every time than win ugly or thanks to biased refs/warped enforcement of the rules, regardless of a championship. I'd rather be a Bobcat's fan than the current Warrior's fan 10/10. I was an original Hornets' fan instead of a Jordan Bulls' fan for the same reason. Win all the time b/c your team gets away with moving screens and practices bad shots like pull-up threes? Yuck. Win all the time b/c your superstar gets to take 3-4 steps to the basket or can't be touched? Shameful. I'm actually weirdly okay with the Hornets struggling in the pace and space era b/c this era is the least entertaining and honorable era I've ever watched. I'm like the old guy that keeps up his 60s truck and shaking my head at all the kids in their modern trucks full of **** nobody ever needed, devoid of any character and depreciating in value faster than selfie sticks.

Yeah, I'm a weirdo.

I love great shooting but also hate illegal screens and unfair advantages, so I’m conflicted.

Just thinking about how we could have had Mitchell and Brogdon. Could have picked up someone like Dedmon instead this offseason... man what a deeeep young team that can run with so many variations...

I think our coaching staff would still find a way to muck that lineup up too. Our current roster isn’t that bad. We’re actually kinda deep but the lack of strategy from our coaches and poor management of situational lineups is the reason we’re 12-22 instead of 22-12.

Popularity contest. Put Kemba in a big city like NY and he’d easily be in the top 10.

Even Lonzo Ball is in the top 10 in the West despite how bad he’s been.

Well, as political as the NBA tries to be, maybe they should create some form of electoral college.

Not really. The only people that’ll get voted in is the top 2 guards and top 3 frontcourt players of each conference. Until something catastrophic actually happens like it almost did with Zaza Pachulia a couple years ago they’re not going to change allowing the fans to be a part of the voting process. I think that Zaza year where he almost got voted in by his native country is the reason they did away with the Center position in the voting and just made it frontcourt players.

I had no idea that Briante Weber was on the Rockets and actually gets playing time.
