Clippers' Questionable Training and Medical Staff

Post#1 » by Ranma » Fri Jan 5, 2018 1:39 am

This record continues to play on repeat. Our training and medical staff continues to be incompetent, has no qualms about lying to the public, or both. If it's not giving us the wrong timetable for Griffin's return, it's some other misdiagnosis. I know Gallinari is injury prone and Teodosic is not exactly in the best shape as an athlete, but can our staff do something about keeping our players healthy and fit? We've lost Beverly and now Junior Rivers is dealing with continual ailments.

Ballmer has invested a lot into fixing our organizational infrastructure, but there is still plenty of work to be done.

Really unfortunate too. I was scared Blake would end up having a torn ACL because of our staff. Shouldn't be that way.

It’s hard to know how much of this is due to the training staff’s incompetence Vs bad luck. I think a lot of it is just misfortune. It is one of the most injury prone seasons I’ve ever seen though

Well, during that time I just couldn't guard anyone. I couldn't make a shot, all my shots were short and then confidence happened. By midseason, I get my X-ray and I had a little fracture in my knee so I knew what I was feeling was more than tendinitis. By midseason, [Rivers] brings in [Danny] Granger and I was sent to the pine. The trade [to Milwaukee] was the best thing for my career, where I got with a training staff that got me healthy and when I'm healthy, I'm the player you see now and the player you saw in Phoenix."

With all the moves the Ballmer has made in the front office, surprised Jasen Powell is still around...

I'm no fan of the man, but I don't think trainer Jasen Powell makes these determinations. The team doctors do. Nobody knows anything until they look at the MRI.

I understand why people are criticizing our medical/training staff, since they've long since lost any benefit of the doubt. But have we considered that maybe DJ's just being held out for a trade?
