The only reason why it's worth it...is because the team didn't move. If it was up to me I would have stayed in the Bradley Center for another 20 years.

Gotta keep those 1 percenters insulated from the peons and riffraff

If this is accurate, that's just ridiculous. If you pay the $30 or whatever to park there, you should be able to use the skywalk.

Outrageous. This is more upsetting than all the stupid front office moves.

First day this baby is open we should stand outside the skywalk and take a video of people being turned away. People are gonna be pissed lol.

Agree with the skywalk sentiments. Can't believe they would limit it to just suite/club holders.

Seems like they are trying to squeeze every extra $ they can out of this arena already.

The seats are really comfortable though.

My guess is the skywalk goes to an area that normal tickets aren’t allowed so they can’t have everyone use it. Stupid to say the least though.

Considering the parking structure was mostly paid for using a City of Milwaukee TIF district, not letting regular taxpayers use it will be a big media story once events start. Bet they are forced to change course. They are going to have a hard enough time filling the arena. Bad press like this will be terrible.

Am I the only one that remembers this being the case from the very beginning? This isn't new news. Im guessing that level/section of the parking structure will be off limits to people that don't have access to the skywalk.

Giannisstoppable- was the skywalk thing confirmed by Alex Lasry? Or are we still basing it off that article?

I know everyone is impressed by the "business" side of these owners, but they (and their spoiled brat children) strike me as despicable human beings.

If I recall, the original conceptual drawings didn't have a skywalk but then a bunch of people crowed about how ridiculous it would be if they didn't build one from the City paid parking ramp.

Have no idea where the skywalk enters into at the new arena but yeah this won't go over well if 80% of the people parking in that lot are sitting in regular seats.

I mean, the skywalk will just enter into the suite level concourse, right? Probably a separate entrance-exit to suite level parking and then they'll have a ticket taker at the end of the skywalk leading to a private concourse. Can't chance running into the Milwaukee common man/taxpayer.

I just think the team better hope they win or else I think the apathy towards this team will be even worse than late Kohl-era if the team becomes a perennial lottery squad again.

This is from a Biz Journal article from Oct 2015:

Then the six-story arena would start to go up, along with a parking structure and team practice facility on either side of Sixth Street to the north in the Park East. A skywalk may be built over Juneau Avenue to connect the arena and the parking structure.

Read on Twitter

http://www.nba.com/bucks/release/full-season-tickets-bucks-inaugural-season-new-wisconsin-entertainment-and-sports-center-are

It would be interesting to know what the organization's projections/expectations are for season ticket sales next year (if they already haven't mentioned them). And it will be interesting to see how the season ticket sales go in relation to the organization's expectations. It'll also be interesting to see if the organization lowers its expectations if season tickets sales are lower than their projections.

Renewals among current season ticket holders has been less than expected. It will be a tough sell until people can get inside and see where the actual seats are they are interested in buying. Attendance will be good next year while the place has the new car smell. Miller Park drew well despite a crappy team. Initially.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Yeah expect near sellouts everynight next season the real question is what will happen in its 2nd year, the lineup might look vastly different that year.

Don't we lose the team because it wasn't built by the end of 2017? That's what we were told so better sign off on the deal then or else.

The skywalk having exclusive access wasn't reported back then and regardless that doesn't somehow justify the decision. It would just be an attempt to obfuscate for people who don't care about you and this decision is a microcosm of that. They weaseled themselves into a better deal from the taxpayer, the least they could do now is compensate them with the best product for the general public. Not happening though with personnel management nor stadium amenities.

I think the season after will lose a lot more long time STH as well, Its got to be tough to overcome the bargain prices and sell the price increase. I know a lot that really wanted to say no thanks, but can't walk away from that first year. I'm in that group for sure, I'll stay for one for sure but after that I don't know. I have really missed the Kohl special scheduling coming from out of town, less Saturday games means more weekday traffic commutes and less enjoying Milwaukee for the day on a Saturday and heading to the game after.

Some fans have expressed surprise about the higher prices the Bucks are charging for games at the new arena. Some season ticket holders have said their current seats at the BMO Harris Bradley Center will cost about twice for the same location in the new arena.

The Bucks point out, however, that the new arena is being built for professional basketball, will have state of the art amenities and bring the fans in all seats much closer to the court."

That's a relief. I'm glad it's not being built for minor league jai alai.
