Conceding goals isn't just because of those guys playing on defense. It's a team concept and something Klopp certainly doesn't prioritizes.

Agreed. We have already acquired that kind of midfielder in Naby Keita who is about to join at summer.
Until then, i think that a GK and all kind of defenders are much needed. Not so much for this season(only Champions League is a goal--QF would be nice) but for the future.

Rumors are starting to surface that the club has agreed to a £75m deal for VVD. Hope it's true. TIme to get a Keeper as well. It's too bad Keita isnt coming over til the Summer. I'd love to see him get acclimated now.

Yes! Just came on to announce it. Very exciting, and about freakin time!

We also signed a defender who doesn't show up till the summer. Let's hope these two are legit. That would go a long way for us. Would like to see a 3rd high-level defender come here....but I think two will at least make a major difference.

Coutinho should take a pause, and think about what he's leaving. If these defensive players actually rock...I think we got a team thats lookin pretty scary now. I look forward to next season.

Well damn...sounds like we have some work to do still. 1 legit guy is certainly nice....but we need more.

Not a huge fan of Mignolet....but I don't think he's horrible. As one poster noted...we need to fix our whole defensive structure, with a holding mid-fielder, and some real defenders. I think perhaps Mignolet will look a better then. If he gets moved, there will be no tears here...but I don't put him as a top priority.

Even with skrtel and injured agger we were better. And i really can't understand what was klopp's problem with sakho.

I'd say our offense is doing fine. If our defense was better, with a great Mascherano-type mid-fielder...you'd be able to throw the other mid-fielders up front even more...which would make it that much better.

I think we're close. We just need much better defense. Today's signing is great....but we need 1-2 more. If Coutinho does move on (and I assume Sturridge is out as well)...we will prob need to get some more attacking help. But first....get one or two more a-level defenders!

Good signing but too much money. One more affect of the post pogba transfer era.
2 seasons ago you could have signed 2 top players with these money. Whatever. Welcome.
Please get a goalkeeper and i don't mean Trapp.
PSG reporters claim that he wants to leave paris and that LFC is a team that's interested. We already have a young German backup(karius). If you are going to have a german GK and since his name can't be neuer, then keep karius and develop him.
Trapp is a trap. We need a proven one.
I would approach City for Bravo. 34 ain't too late for GK. I don't think city will ask much if he wants to leave.
He can play with the ball on his feet, he has accurate hands distributes and his reflexes, one on ones and general command of the area is definetely a lot better than mignolet's.

Mignolet just isn't a starting caliber GK for a club like ours.

Mignolet would've been replaced by now if he didn't have an uncanny PK save record. If he didn't have the strength of newborn kittens in his hands when he has to stop a strike he'd be a decent keeper.

I am stoked by the VVD signing. The mobility of VVD and Matip will make LFC much less vulnerable to counter-attack and unlike Lovren, VVD can clear the ball when there are multiple opponents nearby.

God, I hope Keita comes over in January. He's like a CM version of Firmino with almost Mane's pace. Would be a huge upgrade if he comes and Can goes (and I like Can).

Can must stay. I don't want any midfielder to leave, we are not that deep.
Also if they sell sturridge, i hope that they will give more time to woodburn and solanke. Don't want any more questionable signings. See what we have in the youngsters. Support them(like we didn't do with Origi)

Pulled that win out of our arse. Once again...our lack of depth is glaring. Lose a guy or two....and it's a 1-1 tie to Burnley. Thankfully Liverpool finally got some last-second magic.

These things don't happen unless Coutinho is letting Barca know he's interested. The guy wants to go. So I say screw it. Get him out of here, and let's all get on with our lives. We can do alot with $190 big-ones.

Just hope this move doesn't dash our CL hopes. We're sitting 4th right now...but it's damn close.
