It is because the game is on ESPN and the Grizzlies are hosting the second ESPN game. They don't like to start the Central timezone teams later than 9:30 PM EST if at all possible.

Ah, it's that time of the year again where I become disappointed with how bad KAT is on defense. He's not Jahlil Okafor bad, but considering he has Thibs coaching him, and how he was mentored by KG, it friggin sucks seeing Town make the same boneheaded plays on defense over and over again.

Also - I remember the first time seeing Thibs coach. It was in a game where Doc Rivers was ejected early in the second half. When Thibs took over that night, it seemed like he was in over his head because it seemed like the played the same 5 guys for the whole second half.

Fast forward 10 years later, after looking like he's compromised the careers of D-Rose, Luol Deng, Noah from heavy minutes, he's now running Wiggins, KAT, Butler and Teague into the ground. The guy has 4/5ths of his starting lineup in the top 30 for mpg this year. (Compare that to the Celtics, where Al Horford leads the team with 32.5 mpg, which is 51st in the league!) Jeez. Thibs is like the new K.C. Jones.

It looks like Morris will be perpetually injured all year. They have to find a way to get this fixed by playoffs. We’ll need his grit and scoring.

A question for Celtics fans

What is up with Brad Stevens putting 3-4 PGs on the floor at the same time?

Rozier isn't a PG though. But yeah, Brad does go small a lot in order to space the floor. Since Smart is capable of defending 3s, he has that luxury of putting out 3 small players.

Stevens categorizes his players as the following:
Wings - Brown, Tatum, Morris, Ojeleye, Nader
Bigs - Horford, Baynes, Theis, Yabu
Ball Handlers - Kyrie, Marcus, Larkin, and Rozier (who actually fits as more of a wing to be honest)

Thibs sounds like a wounded bear screaming from the sideline.

Ball pressure on defense. Change of pace on offense.

But mostly to troll us.

Basically this except Tatum, Smart, and Morris are all 3, and Horford is a ballhandler, too

Also not really strange since twolves are in central time zone and on a flight you get to fly over the Great Lakes instead of having to go around so it's easier. Basically it's the same flight distance as Orlando to Boston and only one hour time zone difference.

J**** F**** C***** it feels like forever since the Celtics have played a game.

I'm sure it's only been a couple of days but my God. I'm so ready to just sit down and enjoy one against a great team that has been struggling.

Man. So looking forward to this treat. I've been lost down the draft pick watching and draft prospect endless googling and watching and reading rabbit hole for awhile there. Pull me back up Alice, time to watch Tatum drain some 3s.

I've been watching Cs games in intense circumstances the past few weeks. It will be nice to smoke a joint and watch this relaxing at home with my cat.
