I figured Book had better percentages too, so I checked, though this is for the whole year, but look how close the %s are on 3s and FTs

http://bkref.com/tiny/wvb2J

My guess is Booker might be even more ahead in 3s since Nov 1st because his % seems to have gone up throughout the year. But maybe Harden's have too, so not sure.

Still think Booker can take more quick release 3s instead of Kobe 2s.

Ranks 29th out of 35 out of the top scorers for 2PT%.
Ranks 11th out of 35 out of the top scorers for 3PT%.

Interesting take on last summer. They say that Irving WANTED to come to Phoenix and was upset that the Suns would not include the #4 pick. It was after the Suns rejected the trade offer that he asked for a trade.

Hmmm. Was Bledsoe on board with that too? Did he request a trade because that scenario did not go through? To add insult to injury, they said that might have submarined our chance to sign Blake Griffin. Can you image that?

Where do you get that Irving WANTED to come to Phoenix and was upset the Suns would not include the #4 pick? Unless I missed it, it doesn't say that at all.

I imagine you are getting that from
Phoenix discussed a trade over the summer that would’ve landed them point guard Kyrie Irving, but the team was unwilling to part with the no. 4 overall pick, which they used on Josh Jackson. Irving was “stung” by the news, according to ESPN’s Jackie MacMullan, and eventually requested a trade.

What they are saying is that he was "stung" by the news that the Cavs were trying to trade him. If you click on "stung" which leads you to MacMullan's article, it says
For many, the swap from the Cavaliers to the Celtics last August was vexing. Irving was a champion on a contending franchise with a transcendent star, LeBron James. Who walks away from that?

What they didn't know was Cleveland had explored trading Kyrie in June, long before he asked out, a fact conveniently omitted when word of his demand leaked. Irving made the decision to remain silent while the details of his request were, in his word, "distorted."

"I didn't feel the need to say anything because I knew the truth, and so did they," he says. "So it didn't matter what others said."

Still, for a split second, Irving winces, as though someone has pricked him with a pin.

"They didn't want me there," he says.

He didn't ask out until he found out the Cavs were trying to trade him to the Suns (this is before we ever heard about it and his request out) and was pissed to find out they were trying to trade him. Not being happy about that, THEN he asked out.

I prefer our current position to that. The longer we remain patient, the stronger our bargaining position becomes. We still have cap space, we have even more draft picks and young talent, and that young talent is slowly starting to blossom.

I'm not saying that team would not have set us up for contention in the long-term as well, and while we're currently on a delayed track to contention, we shouldn't be in a rush. We're fine. It's good. I believe in the timeline.

Yeah. I reread it and I think I read into it something that wasn't there. I initially took it that Kyrie was bothered that the Suns would not give up the 4th pick, but it looks more like he was bothered that they Cleveland was willing to trade him.

When I re-read it a couple times after your post, I think the Ringer article was poorly phrased or worded unless they may have wanted to mislead the reader..it should have read something like...
"Irving was “stung” by the news (that Cleveland was shopping him/considering trading him), according to ESPN’s Jackie MacMullan, and eventually requested a trade.

It's crazy that anyone can suggest Booker can't/doesn't pass. His passing game has taken a huge step up this season and it's literally one of the biggest improvement in his game
