Form looks good, carrer stats looks good, shoots selection good.

Can't see any logical reason for his suckiness exept a random long cold streak. :dontknow:

A huge part of his problem is that he's trying to do too much instead of keeping it simple. It's fine to drive to the rim after a pump fake, but the threes he takes need to be open. If he catches at the 3pt line, but had an open lane to the basket, then he needs to drive in and dunk that ****.

So how good does his contract looks now?

After a cold start to season, Rich now averages 18.1 points in 34 minutes per game in December (12 games). On 69.4 TS%. While playing great defense. just turned 24 YO, locked long term at 10 per year.

Also we mention Jimmy Butler a lot with Justise but look at Jrich and Butlers careers arc side by side. Very very similar.

Josh Richardson is the answer to these questions:

Who leads the Miami Heat in games starts, having started every game of the season?
Who leads our team in minutes played?
Who leads our team in blocks?
What about steals?
Who is second in 3-pointers made, hitting 55 of them, at almost 36%?

J-Rich has turned his season around. May his good fortune continue!

J-Rich is a good signing as is TJ (IMO, he’ll come around if not already).

Dion however...

Josh Richardson's December (15 games):

17.4ppg
3.7rpg
2.7apg
0.9bpg
1.1spg
1.5tpg
34.8mpg

54.6%fg
46.8% 3fg (1.9 3pg)
88.9%ft

Has started strong in January also. Suddenly that contract aint looking so bad...

Can't stop being wrong about Rich, wonder if he's to play behind Waiters in the future if Heat's still in pursuit of starting SF

Probably be much more well rounded once Rich and Justise are coming off the bench

Long Live Winnie. Mamba siempre

Should be the starting SG next year, playing 36 minutes per, and taking 14 shots per. One of the only pieces we should keep long term.

There were some bad projections going on between the front office with the FA signings and the coaching staff regarding player roles. With Richardson's slight frame it should have been a given he best projected as a two guard, no idea why they tried to force the SF thing. I wonder if Dion can downsize and run point effectively, if not I see them having to move one of the two.

The reality is that J Rich has very high trade value, and Dion's and Tyler's are very low. That's why I see a 50/50 chance that J Rich is not on the roster come the fall-- we may need to trade him in order to swing another deal.
