Ugly win vs New Orleans last night, but a win is a win, and I will take it.
Matt Ryan should be accountable for his poor decision making. Did he have pressure on him, yes, but 3 INT's, and two passed directly to the Saints defenders chest.
If our 1 and 2 WR's are pressuring him for the ball, so be it, but look at the TE, and RB/FB too open things up in the passing game. Matty must do better!

Incredibly important win last night which was completely won by the defense. Matt Ryan was awful, the Saints' complete lack of discipline was crucial to our success, and Deion Jones was unstoppable.

One moment that still baffles me is Dan Quinn declining that holding penalty which would've made it 3rd and 11 to keep it at 4th and inches. Brees got a very easy and very obvious sneak as a result. What is Quinn thinking there? Sure, they're in FG range but the sticks were just so close. He's unfortunately proven to be one of the worst coaches in the NFL when it comes to clock and situation management, and this is the type of stuff that will cost us dearly down the line if it continues.

Declining that penalty was the worst. Luckily the saints bailed him out.

If we make the playoffs we'll get beat. This is not a good team. Too bad we blew it last year.

It boggles and infuriates me that our best 3 players are all offensive guys...but we've never given them a brilliant, tactical offensive-minded head coach to lead them. (Like a Mike McCarthy or a Sean Payton)

Quinn is a good leader, a rah-rah guy of the highest order.

But a bad tactician. (Same as Mike Smith and Jim Mora)

idk Mac, the NFC is looking wide open this year with Wentz going down. I always thought the Vikings were the conference's best, even before Wentz went down, but with their loss to Carolina showcased that it'll be difficult for them to make it out of the NFC bloodbath with Keenum at QB... All you have to do is blitz him and he becomes a deer in headlights.

I think the Falcons will have their say as to how the playoffs will shake out this year. Winning the last three and earning that home wildcard game would obviously be big, and if they do so they'll go into the playoffs having won 7 of their last 8 games.

I get the reasoning behind Quinn's hire, and I'm still glad we brought him on board. Our defense was the worst in the NFL in Smitty's final season and we desperately needed a defensive revamp. Quinn has been nearly flawless in rebuilding the defense, but his shortcomings happen in the game, when he frequently gets out-coached. I think it's a case of taking the bad with the good here because in three short years he's taken our defense from league worst to top 10.

A win is a win and this was a crucial one to get with the Saints and Panthers coming up.

This game against the Saints is the biggest one in the regular season. Talk about having a chance to go into the playoffs on a real hot streak with full momentum carrying you. Win it and I'd say the division is ours (we should beat Carolina at home), lose it and you're in jeopardy of missing the playoffs altogether.

Tampa Bay kept it close.
It's beginning to concern me how we seem to just barely win games that should probably be wins by 10 points or more.
With New Orleans this week, we must win, make the playoffs, and stay healthy. Let's make it 2-0 against our rival.

What must the Falcons do to clinch a playoff spot?

The easiest way to earn a spot is to win Sunday’s matchup against the Saints at Mercedes-Benz Superdome.

The defending NFC Champions can also clinch if they tie with the Saints, the Seattle Seahawks and the Dallas Cowboys tie and the Detroit Lions lose or tie at the Cincinnati Bengals. http://www.ajc.com/sports/what-must-the-falcons-clinch-playoff-spot/fuvfZun0ReWcUb3b8s5buM/

Down to a must win game against the Panthers so we can lose a playoff game. This offense is beyond horrible and I can't imagine Blank not insisting on Sark being booted. We have good backs, great receivers, great QB, ok offensive line (we've seen what they can do). It's embarrassing to not be able to score. I don't think there is a single metric where the offensive excels.

I can't lay the blame solely on Sarkisian for the offensive struggles, not when our team leads the league in drops and Matt Ryan has 12 pics when he's only thrown 4 "interception worthy" passes this year.

I still have hope that we can figure it out. Win on Sunday and you're in, win your wildcard game and you get to face Nick Foles (the worst QB in the playoffs) in the divisional round. The thing is, we'll more than likely have to go to New Orleans for that WC game. That would make it five straight weeks of playing nothing but divisional opponents.

It just seems like we are a passive offensive team. Our red zone offense has been horrible and I just haven't seen anything as the season progresses that seems like we are making adjustments to have better success on offense.

Big win against Carolina to get us into the dance. The defense dominated Cam all afternoon, and the offense... well the offense did enough.

If the defense can contain Todd Gurley we'll get this win in LA. Levitre going to IR is really rough. Under no circumstances should Aaron Donald be allowed to face one of our blockers one on one this Saturday. Don't double him and he'll eat the interior of O-Line alive.

We managed to make the playoffs after beating Carolina.
Seattle losing regardless would have meant we would make the playoffs even if Carolina beat us.

Now, I just want to see our team show up, and get the big win against the Rams. We have the experience, we have the talent, but will we show up tomorrow? Let's get the big underdog WIN.

The defense ravaged an inexperienced Rams team on the road, the Special Teams swung the game in our favor (great adjustment by Keith Armstrong bringing up Nick Williams as a gunner), and the offense put up 26 points on an embarrassment of a playing surface.

Everything is coming together. We're in the enviable position of playing Nick Foles in the divisional round and should find ourselves back in the NFC Championship Game with a trip to either a very beatable New Orleans team, or a Case Keenum-led Vikings squad. We're hitting our stride.
