If you could pick one ex-Piston...

Post#1 » by JackieMoon33 » Mon Jan 8, 2018 5:04 am

To be back with the team, who would you choose?

I have to go with Dinwiddie. I loved the pick when SVG snagged him in the 2nd round a few years back. I was a huge fan of his personality, work ethic, and play style. Seeing him flourish in Brooklyn has almost been sickening to watch. I don’t know why SVG decided to give up on him, it’s crazy to think Dumars did the same with Middleton.

It's Middleton, no debate needed.

No doubt. Poll would have been more interesting if he was left off the list. Who would be every Middleton voter's second choice?

Brandon Knight. Look what SVG did with DJ. Brandon was a taller, better defending DJ. It all depends on if he was healthy though.

Prime Grant Hill. Oh I can't do that?

Yeah, gotta be Midds. We've had problems at the 3 all year, and he gives us exactly what we need there.

Ignoring the injury to Reggie, Aron Baynes would be a sneaky second place for me...

1. Khris Middleton who was always a shooter and needed a couple years and a role to get back in rhythm
2. the Stanley Johnson that had confidence to challenge Lebron.
3. Aron Baynes who was about as perfect a backup center as you could get at least on defense.
4. Spencer Dinwiddie who was always a smart Pg, needed another couple years to get his shooting balance back.
You need 2-way wings, 2-way shooting bigs, and you can't allow low iq players on the court. Assist/turnover ratio is crucial. Shooting point guards are icing on the cake IF they are plus defenders.
Weaver & Casey, govern yourselves accordingly!
