Bucks Trade Ideas Thread 2018

Post#1 » by Nowak008 » Mon Jan 8, 2018 7:19 pm

Woj has a nugget about the Bucks and DJ... but maybe the more interesting part...

http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/page/Woj22002854/nba-trade-deadline-biggest-storylines-potential-deals-watch-adrian-wojnarowski

There are far more teams chasing wing players -- shooting guards/small forwards -- than quality talent available at those positions. Drafts have been lean on those spots in recent years, and they're in great demand now.

Detroit, New Orleans, New York and Portland are a few of the teams most interested in upgrades, but the true list is much longer.

Would love to see us test the market for Mid. Need to refill the cupboard.

I do wonder if using the end of the bench moves on the guys they did instead of hunting for a big means we could move Snell or that some consolidation of the smalls is what it'll take to find a big. That they are hoping to find some insurance in these moves before making some move for a big. I mean they know they need one, and it comes up nightly that Henson and Thon will run up against at least one guy in the opposing rotation that has their way with them physically. With Parker and Telly out the 4 rotation is basically Giannis and Middleton, that's pretty rough. Any big body could be used to counter even just a modest defensive big, surely someone was out there.

Bring a center, don't ruin our team.

Hawks upgraded Dewayne Dedmon (left tibia stress reaction) to probable for tonight vs. Clippers. So probable Dedmon vs. DAJ matchup tonight for those wanting to scout 2 potential Bucks center targets, although Dedmon might get limited minutes.

-I like Collins but no
-I like Willy but no
-I like those firsts but no. I actually like Moore too. This is the closest one, but still no.
-Yuck.

I'd rather just hope and pray that he decides he wants to play defense again than pull the trigger on any of those deals.

If I'm the Clippers I want more than that for two really good players. Lou Williams has been much better than Middleton this season.

I would try to trade for Dedmon using a package revolving around either DJ or Thon or Snell and Vaughn. Those are the only 4 players I would be willing to trade away currently.

Giannis is a competent starting big man away from an MVP.

This is pretty much where I'm at.

Although I'd definitely add Parker to the list in the right deal.

So back to buckets of dildos for a second...
At a party given by a billionaire, Kurt Vonnegut informs Joseph Heller that their host had made more money in a single day than Heller had earned from his novel Catch-22.

Heller responds, “Yes, but I have something he will never have — ENOUGH.”
