His daddy might ground him for talking back.

I dunno,

I remember watching that OKC game, and thinking to myself "oh sh**.....Luke's lost this team. They aren't playing for him".
9 - game losing streak.....
Players calling a meeting to air grievances....

Did that really come out of left field?

All we ever deal with is sports news speculating that so and so is unhappy and wants to go here. Now he wants to go there. Lebron is totally coming to the Lakers.....now a source close to Lebron says its Phily. Brady and Belichick are fighting. You can bet there have been over a hundred ex-teamates or coaches or Tom's personal-chef commenting. Colin Cowherd telling us how Byron Scott had lost the team cause all he ever did was say yes to Kobe (apparently that's why he was brought in....according to all those people who were part of the contract negotiations) and on and on and on. All the reporters ever did the last 6-months of D'antoni's stint, was try and get a player to say they hated playing for D'antoni.

Is anyone really surprised that comments about Luke would come out, when we're playing like this? Does anyone think there's absolutely zero smoke to Lavar's comments? Really? 9-game streak....team holds a players meeting, and then goes out and gives up the next night, in a 36-38 point loss? No alarm bells there?

Lavar is Lavar. You knew what you were signing up for. I see no damage in his comments. Half the people here had already asked as much after that game anyhow. We're all sorta wondering.

Good to see the team get a win. Till this team turns it around, and isn't one of the worst teams in the league.....Luke's gonna be on the hotseat. And guys are gonna speculate about his rotations...and if Randle has quit caring....and will Lebron still look at this as a destination...or will he demand we ditch Luke?? It's not gonna end. Lavar's just one more mouth.

That's sickening. These reporters better nut up and stand together if that's the case.

Where is the freedom of speech and democracy then? #FreeLavar

He does have one thing right. ESPN got rid of their best writers.

Kerr is absolutely correct. The problem isn’t that ESPN is talking to Lavar, the problem is that people care what he thinks.

Actually, the problem is that people expect what Lavar says to matter... And unfortunately, sticking a microphone in someone's face immediately legitimizes them in our culture.
I think we're too quick to exonerate the media in situations like these... Yes, they wouldn't do it if it didn't sell, but it sells because they do it... And they didn't use to do it as much, and they were more profitable as a result.
I think most people in the media industry actually long for the profitability of the 'old days' when there were a lot more 'stories' they refused to publish because they were pointless or in bad taste.

Unfortunately, with social media here there is an 'urgency' for around the clock news/drama. The games used to be the story, because television used to dominate. Now, it's all spurts of short clips and soundbites. Some recognize this and are capitalizing on it. You can be mad at them, or you can not let it affect you at all.

Bro, he is revolutionizing business as well

Think about how much money you can make by selling but not delivering the products. Genius!

This is how I hoped Lonzo would’ve responded.

Lonzo has shown himself to be a poor teammate and a poor leader. It is what it is. That doesnt exclude him from being a good useful player on a team. The club will just have to figure out a way to manage lavar and lonzo.

The idea of Magic telling he Lavar he loses his family access at Lakers games is sound in logic but you never know how Lonzo might feel about it.

Yeah... Dont care what Lonzo feels about that.

Im just curious how you would respond if you had to balance between not insulting your father and not disrespecting your coach. I'm sure you'd have a response that comes off perfectly.
