I'm much more interested replacing Thon with decent minutes at the 5, and adding quality bench depth than I am in acquiring somebody like Jordan.

I'd rather just hope and pray that he decides he wants to play defense again than pull the trigger on any of those deals.

The one you said yuck to I probably like 2nd best after the Portland deal :)

In the last 3-4 years, has there been a team who regretted trading their "star" for a package of players? Mid feels like the Bogut situation all over again. We are going to wait a year too long to trade him.

If I'm the Clippers I want more than that for two really good players. Lou Williams has been much better than Middleton this season.

Who would you realistically want to get the deal done if you were the Clippers?

Think they would take Brogdon, Thon, Delly and Henson to get DJ and Lou

Bucks: Bellinelli and Dedmon
Hawks: Telly (waive), Maker and Bucks 2nd

And

Bucks: O'Quinn and Frye
Knicks: Wilson and Osman
Cavs: Delly and Beasley

Solves the rebounding problems and helps our cap out. We lose little to nothing in Telly, Delly, Wilson, Maker and the pick.

I don't think they'd move both in the same package unless they got back a really good young player and/or high draft pick(s).

I’ve always said the Bucks need older one dimensional players

And this is probably why we haven't seen a deal yet. I don't mind the Bucks standing their ground.

Any deal that the Bucks could make for DAJ would only make them even more top heavy. Not interested. Find a team to take some of our junk for a player who isn't seeing enough time right now.

Eh, he's not wrong. Williams has been having a great year but that's because he was the man for the Clippers when Blake was gone, not because he's better than Middleton.

They do, Jason terry. Problem is his one dimensional thing he excels at is waving a towel.

Whatever our current offer is for Jordan it doesn’t seem like it’s giving away the store.

The biggest names on the trade market can dictate momentum, and so far, the sluggish pursuit of LA Clippers veteran DeAndre Jordan reflects the overall morass. Jordan, 29, can decline the player option on his $24.1 million contract for 2018-19, and most teams believe the All-Star center will be willing to re-sign with the team that trades for him -- as long as they're willing to pay him his long-term extension. So far, serious offers to Los Angeles have been slow to come. "He's a difference-maker, but I'm not sure anyone thinks he puts you over the top," one GM said.

Because so few elite teams, if any, play through the center position offensively, there's less of an urgency to exhaust trade assets on Jordan before seeing who else might join the trade market. Milwaukee has been determined to find a center, and Jordan tops the Bucks' list, but it's unclear whether they have a package to eventually make the deal.

The Clippers aren't set on trading Jordan at all costs, because the idea of bringing back marginal draft picks with heavy protections and so-so talent in a trade is far too unappealing.

Of the players recently mentioned to be on the Lakers block, Nance is the one I'd be interested in. Probably too high of a price though.

I don't have a great understanding of cap holds, but J. Randle's is $12.4 M and Clarkson gets $12.5 next year. So might the Lakers want Middleton and Vaughn for Clarkson, Randle and Nance? Middleton only gets $13 M so would they have ~$14 M extra cap by that deal?

They probably could get pure expirings for that package but Middleton might be attractive to free agents coming to LA.

Note: I'm in the trade Middleton (seems lazy, tries to be Kobe too much), roll the dice on jabari boat.
