I'm so excited to see Lavine play.. it saddens me though, reading between the lines it sounds like they've been holding him out whilst healthy for a while now for the tank. I'd be pretty annoyed if I was him.

Maybe, though I wouldn't fault them for being cautious with him either. His game is based around his athleticism, if he lost that he could end up out of the league entirely.

Besides, it didn't seem to make a difference. If they wanted to hold someone out for tanking it should have been Mirotic.

It's still only been 11 months since the injury. I don't blame them for not rushing it. If he's the future of the franchise, can't be messing around with the kid's injuries.

I'm super excited to see LaVine back on the court. Having two sons that survived ACL surgeries makes it even easier for me to wish him success.

That may be true, but if it's a patellar tendon graft, you also want to make sure any muscle atrophy is dealt with. Once the graft takes hold, the knee is structurally sound, but the surrounding muscles may be weakened from disuse, and you REALLY want to make sure they're strong because they're going to have to do extra work.

Anyway, you guys are in for a treat. :D If Hoiberg can get good play out of Dunn I can't wait to see what he'll do with Zach.

Very painful seeing Zach in a different uniform.

Ugh. Legit hurts.

Lavine is in a better place to succeed. The bulls have put alot of defenders around him and he's allowed unlimited touches to play his game. I imagine he's going to look alot like how booker looks on the sun's.

Lavine simply did not fit with thibs' defensive schemes. Wiggs and butler have to switch and cover 1-4, and Zach can't give you that.

Could be one of those win win trades.

Bulls will have 3+ defenders starting with Lavine : Lopez, holiday, and Dunn.

Booker has an over the hill chandler and nothing else.

The suns and the bulls will be out of the playoffs until 2023 at a minimum.

I just want to pointing out that I'm glad we made the trade to get Jimmy.

My comment now...
Kris Dunn is really impressive this season. Look at his stat line of today:

31 minutes
17 pts (7-13)
8 ast
8 reb
3 stl
3 blk

Assuming health isnt an issue the Bulls will be in the playoffs no later then 2020 imo. Probably as soon as next season if they really went for it but my guess is they will remain cap flexible as possible until the following summer.

Miss Zach a lot, but I’m too giddy watching Butler to be sad.
