I said it in the last thread and I will say it again. Kidd is not going anywhere. He is owed to much money and tied in to tight with the ownership.

Continuing a discussion from the other thread, while I agree Kidd needs to go, I think it's asinine to say Kidd has had nothing to do with Giannis' growth as a player. Sure the majority of it is on Giannis, but to say he's learnt nothing about being a better NBA players from a HOF PG is harsh.

Then how come no one else has improved?

Several players have shown tremendous growth under Kidd. Snell had a career year. Middleton's playmaking and scoring ability improved tenfold under Kidd. Brogdon has exceeded all expectations. Jabari was putting up numbers at 21 years old that only Hall of Famers have put up at that age.

Has anybody played here under Kidd and then went on to become a better player elsewhere?

It doesn't matter if Kidd has helped player development. He is one of if not the worst X&O's coaches in the NBA. He can't even draw up his own plays he has **** coordinators like it's football.

We have retained just about every player because continuity and still havent seen a better result on the floor man. Giving credit to kidd for those players "tremendous" growth is pretty ridiculous of a claim imo.

I can say with total certainty that Giannis would NOT be the player he is today if he had shot more than 50 threes in his second season. If only Larry Drew had the same great instincts for player development, Giannis might be scoring 47 points per game right now.

Yeah, where would Middleton be today if he wasn't being encouraged to shoot long 2s, turnaround fadeaways, post up, etc. Imagine how much worse he'd be on a team stupid enough to have him shooting more 3s, not 2nd in the league in minutes, and playing in a cohesive team defense.

Yup. This is why I think it's silly when people say Kidd developed Giannis. Giannis was gonna be special regardless of who his coach was.

If anything, Kidd and his crap offense is stunting Giannis' growth.

And who can forget the work he did with 19 year old Syracuse PG Tyler Ennis.

We can never have a serious discussion about Jason Kidd because there are people who literally refuse to say a single good thing about him. Take another look at the players you listed in order to argue against Kidd's player development ability. Vaughn, Maker, and Wilson have spent their entire careers on the Bucks. Are you going to tell me they would be good players on another team? Inglis, JOB, and MCW all left the Bucks and have done what exactly?
