If your team shoots 50% from 3 and you have a player score 52, but you barely win in overtime, you might have a problem on defense.

Unbelievable. 32 points in the 2nd half alone. Most dominant half I've ever seen.

Especially in college.

What are people's thoughts of Howard's pro prospects? He can shoot but of the games I've seen of him I'm not sure what to think

What a hell of a performance scoring 10 in the first half then just erupted for 42.

Not a good defender and not a good decision maker and not a good passer. He’s all offense that can create his own shot. Second round right now. Needs a lot of work on everything other than his shot

Edit: the thing he’s got going for him is he’s super young. As a sophmore he’s still younger in age than the freshman on the team. Staying another year or even his sr year won’t hurt him

I wouldve said no shot middle of last year but the kid shot an unbelievable 50%+ from three on high volume. He's getting close to replicating that this year. If he gets hot in the tourney and gets them to the sweet sixteen, teams make hope to turn him into a shorter curry.

MUCH shorter Curry. He’s listed at 5’11”.

Yea, he's no curry. Hard to find a comparison. I don't want to oversell him but I could see a team in the late first make a promise for him at an attempt at getting an elite bench scorer.

Lol love to see the Badger fans in here. If anyone actually watched the game you'd see that it was a ticky-tack whistle fest with something like a 45-12 free throw disparity favoring the Friars. It's gonna be hard for Howard to go pro, especially after this year, because of size issues. But that's alright, we'll take him for all 4 years, and I wouldn't be surprised if he carved out a nice career in the NBA in a Barea, Collison role.

If MU can just steal a few from the big boys in the conference and we should go to the tourney. I think we are clearly better than the bottom half and just inferior to the top tier. I'll take that playing 6 freshmen and sophs in the regular rotation.

I'm so mad that i forgot Marquette played tonight. First game i don't watch and Howard goes for 52 points. :banghead:

Marquette as always struggles on defense and lacks quality bigs, but i'd hate facing them given how Howard and Rowsey can shoot/score. Either guy can go off at any point and start making threes from almost anywhere on the court and Howard has improved taking defenders off the dribble who stay right up on him protecting the three point shot.

Very impressive win tonight.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Great all around win. The freshmen are really starting to contribute. John is a brute on defense and Elliot played great D and had some high energy plays. Rowsey and Howard are awesome but I think Sam Hauser is better all around than both. If Joey really is better than Sam he's going to be really fun to watch.

That's a resume win. Big first step towards the tournament. If we can steal a couple more this season we could enter the 5-7 seed range.

Granted DePaul is really bad, but Marquette is up 16 early and it could easily be 25 without some missed layups.
This MU team is fun to watch

Joey Hauser enrolled for second semester at MU. Redshirting but allowed to work and travel with the team. MU also able to rehab his ankle injury.

Saw that, creative idea and hope it works. A bit riskier than it seems on the surface because if he gets hurt again it won't be as easy to use the RS, he'd probably win the case applying for a medical but you never know in an odd situation like this. Also, won't have the RS year if he transfers. Obviously unlikely scenario but if Woj were to leave you never know what you'd want to do.
