I'm sure most people feel the same way with Wentz out and Atlanta's struggles against both teams. Division games are wild, though, so I would feel a whole lot better against NO. But I could never root for them and I don't expect them to beat Minny anyway.

Feel like Cam Newton has gotten a pass for the most part. I remember seeing Stephen A. Smith say that there was more pressure on Matt Ryan going into this weekend than Cam Newton, essentially because Matt Ryan has a good team and he's got something to prove after blowing the lead in the SB.

As if Cam Newton also doesn't have a good team, and isn't the guy that got absolutely wrecked in the SB.

so Case Keenum is going to make his playoff Debut next weekend  ..with the pressure of the homefield! let's say that Mean D shutsdown Brees and the Falcons survive playing the cold...I would pick Falcons to beat the Vikings playing in that M dome.

Anyway, I got Saints beating Minn then beating the Falcons in the Championship game.

I kind of hope Jameis Winston gets an MVP so we can look back and laugh at all the undeserved MVPs in our division, and how Brees never got one.

Saints beating the falcons and Tom Brady back to back is destiny.

Just having a quick glance on pro football reference. Maybe 2009 was the only year where there looks like a legit case he got snubbed. Otherwise his best years came with great years from Peyton and Rodgers or he didn't make the playoffs.

I'm no Cam fan... but he gets a pass from me for yesterday. That vaunted Panthers defense got shredded. Joe and Troy kept talking about the lack of a productive Saints running game because the Panthers sold out to stop it. Hell - I wouldn't have ran the ball either. Saints receivers were running free all afternoon.

Yeah, I don't really see Brees as being robbed of an MVP in any year. He's a great QB, and he certainly has had multiple MVP-caliber years, but there was always someone more deserving.

06 - Manning was better, even if you disagree with Tomlinson winning MVP (which I do)
07 - Brady was better
08 - Brees was arguably the best this year, statistically, but they were 8-8 and missed the playoffs, so...
09 - Brees has a great argument, but it's not like it was a snub when the winner was Manning, who had very comparable, if not better numbers...btw, Brady's advanced numbers were better than Brees's, as was Rivers's...Rivers led the Chargers to a 13-3 record too, so he would have been a worthy choice as well
10 - Brady was better
11 - He has a good argument, but was he really snubbed compared to Rodgers and Brady?

13 and 17 are really the only other times he leads a winning team, and in 13, Manning was obviously better, and in 17, Brady is obviously better.

He's the best QB to never win MVP, but I can't say that he's ever been snubbed, so I don't think it's a travesty that he never won.

Lol I'm here.

For me watching the Rams is like a religious experience - I stay off the internet while I'm watching.

Disappointing game obviously, and one I thought we should win easily, but the future couldn't be brighter. Second youngest team in the NFL, uber talented with a good young head coach. Didn't expect to really win the super bowl anyway.

The frustrating part is that I feel like we actually outplayed Atlanta save for the two turnovers.

I think it was a combination of things.

First, the difference in the game was the turnovers. Take those away and the Rams win a close game IMO - but, we did turn the ball over quite a bit (for a playoff team) this year.

I think experience mattered more than I thought it would. Falcons came out with an intensity that seemed to surprise the Rams. Atlanta had a super conservative game plan that, coupled with the two turnovers, fell perfectly into place for them.

You sure about that!?

bmurph128 wrote:I've got no love for any wildcard team this year. The AFC wildcards have no chance IMO; the NFC are better, but...

Saints already beat the Panthers twice, convincingly.

The Rams are better than the Falcons, more rested, and Atlanta has to fly all the way out to the West coast..

Then:

Saints over Eagles
Rams over Vikings

Chiefs over Patriots
Steelers over Jags

Rams over Saints
Steelers over Chiefs

Rams over Steelers

Vikings Defense will destroy the saints
Keenum will be just fine
Defense trumps offense
Put your money on the Vikings
Atlanta has no chance against Vikings Defense if no one gets hurt against the saints
Rhodes, Smith, Trae waynes has been a stud this year as well
Joseph, Hunter, Griffin,
Barr and kendricks
Lol good luck Atlanta good luck

Keep the faith, brah.

The "Exorcise the demons of the past" tour is on for your lads unless the Eagles step on the Falcons.
