I would also assume that the guys assumed to have never shot have indeed shot a bunch, but that is an assumption just like the one running the opposite direction.
So you would take advice on shooting from someone who has never shot before ?
Would you take lessons from a driving instructor if they have never driven before but have watched good drivers drive ?
See, this is similarly dumb; has anyone here suggested Fultz should hire them to show him how to shoot? The jump between being able to identify good and ba mechanics to being a hired shooting/driving coach is a big one, and a giant straw argument.
The question was can these people pick out bad shooting mechanics. If you want to carry it over to driving, can someone who has never driven pick out bad driving...

Those of you who have never driven before cannot have an opinion on if this is bad:

Shot looks good, can't wait to see him on the court.

I think I'm missing something I have no issues with the way he shot those 2 turnarounds. The 3 is another story as that likely was going to be WIP anyway even then I would of liked a side view. Do like how far the free-throws have come though

Markelle in the background shooting off the dribble. I try to be positive, but not acting like I'm impressed with the results after months of training.
If his shot looks like that, I have no interest in seeing him on the floor this year.

Seems to be a slight hitch still. Ive never seen someone lose their form overnight like this. Hopefully its fine and just a quicker releaae bc of adjustment to league. Or hes the nba’s rick ankiel.

He really shoots like Amir Johnson now, shame there's no lemon law on draft picks.

There is still a CLEAR hitch in his shot...not smooth and as a previous poster said , it looks like he’s pushing his shot. I’ve always been wait and see with fultz but that shot is worrisome.

I wonder how many people still expect Fultz to save our bench after watching that.

I’m not a fan of the hitch in his shot, hopefully whatever form he picks, he can still shoot reasonably well. But let’s not pretend this guy hasn’t had the yips, he did, and it looks like some of it is still there.

Shot looks like crap, no need to lie ourselves to feel good lol.
Hopefully this changes soon. There was no need to change his shot, he never was gonna be an elite 3pt shooter, his bread and butter always has been midrange and off the dribble shooting, just emulate guys like Wade, Derozan who excelled at midrange.

Re: Markelle Fultz Discussion III: For Fultz and going forward (see 2017 draft thread for trade discussion)
Fultz when he shoots does not look like an NBA player. Embiid is a friggin center and he effortlessly walks
down and hits a 3 (with great form mind you). I can see why the Sixers are keeping this guy out. I was all for drafting Fultz because he was supposed to be this 3 level scorer and a great shooter. But the Sixers have drafted the only NBA player in history who was drafted number one FOR HIS SHOOTING and can now no longer shoot. Remember the day before the trade Markelle came into Philly and missed like almost every shot imaginable and then they did the trade anyway ? Ainge probably saw that s*** and was like hellllll no we aint drafting that kid. Everyone was so thrilled that the Sixers put draft protections on the Lakers/Kings pick. It was a great move until Markelle forgot how to shoot. Sigh.

This is actually exactly what happened

Fultz had a horrible workout with the Celtics shooting wise

One of the great modern mysteries.

Fultz been running a lot of PnR on practice. Thats what I saw.
There’s never been a time in history when we look back and say that the people who were censoring free speech were the good guys.

Regards to changing his mechanics.. Maybe its because some knowledgeable guy advised him to change his mechanics to make him a far better shooter. Maybe gives him better strength to shoot from deep and consistency at the foul line.

So, what was Fultz's surprise in the london game? just the pre-game shoot-around?

I think it was to unveil that he now shoots like a 3rd grader all over again.
