But you'd do it for 15 million a year? 10 million? Those aren't equivalent contracts anymore. James Johnson got 13 million, Mike Conley (who i'm a big fan of) is getting 32 million a year. The problem is we signed guys like Snell, Telly, and Delly for these dumb mid money contracts and they aren't worth the capspace they eat up. It's a failed organization that offers these mid tier (lower mid-tier) players these so called "value" deals and then you're left with no capspace and these guys doing what they've always done for contracts that are 300, 400% of their peak value. You can't let the only guy who you've got in the wings who has the potential and track record to show he can put up legit all-star level of numbers. Criticize his defense, etc but the guy is 23 and far from his peak. Teams like the Bucks should be the ones betting on a guy like that, because if he never got hurt there's no way he would be getting less than the max.
And if your aunt had balls she'd be your uncle.
You're not illogical on all the stuff you said prior, but I sure hope they're not using your last point in this assessment. I still disagree but i see your logic.
But I'd say if he wasn't ours already we shouldn't be looking to add a guy like him and would be looking for other team building routes to get that star rather than having the mentality of "we're the Bucks and we can't do any better" so let's just hope this works out. We have to get rid of that attitude, having Giannis changes everything we've been accustomed to the last 30 years. That said, at this point if we don't get a good trade they have to resign and kick the can down the road a bit and see what happens. Can't let him go for nothing.

Maybe if his name was Denise instead of Dennis.

We need to stop trying to trade for old guys when their value is at its highest and instead be taking fliers on younger players who are yet to break out, like we did with Snell.

Once again, if Jabari was on another team right now and about to become a RFA and we had space would anyone even be considering giving him 4/100 or obviously anything more like he's asking for? This board would be almost unanimously against it.

It'd probably have to be Vaughn and a second to avoid tax (barely, I think?), so might not work if ATL just wants a straight cash dump. Could use the Hibbert trade exception, but then we'd need to cut a player and pay tax.

If the Bucks applied for the Telly IPE they’d have room to absorb him. Deadline to apply is the 15th.

I don't understand. your post doesn't address the injury risk as it relates to the money.
I feel fairly confident he gets hurt again soon. that's the problem for me. id need a contract like a 2 year deal with a team option to consider anything with him.
