Sigh. Well glad he's healthy.
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

Re: The Steve Clifford Thread 2.0
I guess they saw enough of Silas to realize he’s not the successor.
It’ll be interesting to see if Clifford tries anything new upon his return.

I think the front office is looking at the possibility to still make the playoffs and feel more confident in seizing that opportunity with Clifford coaching rather than SIlas. Clifford has shown a knack for turning the season around in January/February throughout his tenure as head coach here. I wouldn't be surprised if there was actual meetings and talks between Jordan/Cho/Clifford over the past week, specifically during the 4 day layoff, about his return

Or, you know, he actually had medical issues.

That’s possible. I think I read somewhere that he’s been having headaches due to stress. I wonder if he’ll just retire if the headaches flare back up during a losing streak.

I’m a big critic of Clifford’s but the team looked much worse under Silas’ guidance in Clifford’s absence. I think Clifford hold the guys more accountable if anything.

It's no secret that I don't think Clifford is the long term head coach to lead us where we want to go but having said that he's a human being and I'm glad to finally have a positive update on his health.

I guess that’s a stretch. We’re 8-13 with Clifford and 7-11 with Silas. By the numbers we’ve won at a higher to equal percentage under Silas. It’s just felt dramatically worse.

Re: The Steve Clifford Thread 2.0
Statistically the team has played worse under Silas, but it's difficult to decipher how much of that has to do with Zeller being injured and Batum being in the lineup more. The offensive rating dipped a bit and the margin of net negative expanded slightly. Silas didn't really divert much from what we've become accustomed of seeing from the team with Clifford on the sidelines. I don't think Silas did anything good and I don't think he did horrible either filling in for Clifford, but I think it's safe to say that it's unlikely he'll be receiving any head coaching offers in the near future

I figured that we looked worse under Silas but when I looked at the records it really wasn’t. I guess winning that 3 games out of 4 on the West coast road trip really helped.

Re: The Steve Clifford Thread 2.0
I don’t see how returning to coaching this team would help his health. I be getting headaches after almost every loss if I can’t find a way to laugh at the pain and I’m not remotely as self-invested as Clifford.
May God be with Clifford for the next 43 games.

Re: The Steve Clifford Thread 2.0
This season has been so crazy, so of course Cliff is coming back to try to coach us to the playoffs. It's fitting too because if we don't make it, he's gone. Would much prefer us to fire him for performance and not medical issues.
The Charlotte Hornets will win their first round series against the Boston Celtics in the 2021 Playoffs

Re: The Steve Clifford Thread 2.0
I still can't believe he came back. Clifford's hiatus gave this team a perfect scenario for the health of both sides to ease him out; this team can't stop looking backward instead of forward and it can't make good decisions.

Re: The Steve Clifford Thread 2.0
for those of you wondering, we have a point differential of 0. We have scored the same amount of points as we've given up on the season. A team with an even point differential should be right around .500. We are 19-26. The same thing happened last season. This isn't a talent issue. It's a coaching issue.
The Cavs are 27-19. They have a worse point differential than us as of today by a total of 2 points. That's right, the team 7.5 games and 8 spots ahead of us in the standings. The Miami Heat have a -40 point differential and are also several games ahead of us in the standings.

Re: The Steve Clifford Thread 2.0
Wouldn’t be surprised if they take him out of his misery (literally considering his mental health stress-related issues) this weekend by firing him and making their golden boy hot (not) shot assistant coach Silas the interim coach for the rest of the season.
