Fultz looks like he's picked up quite a bit of weight ..

Cat is going to be very quickly out of the bag with Fultz. He's healthy, the number one pick in the draft and he is yet to play.
Cant even get a minute in in garbage time. But honestly looking at those shooting videos, I can see why. The Sixers are saving him (and them) the embarrassment of him playing. Sorry, if THAT is his shot, a set shot from the middle of his chest, he is not going to be effective at all.

Has it been asked why he can shoot a layup with no hitch or hesitation.. but his jumpshot hurts his shoulder?

I saw that too, had to double check he was #20 cause of the thickness.

Welcome to 8 weeks ago.
I could draw some stick figures to show you how the angle and rotation of your arm when shooting a jumper is completely different to a layup... but I can't be bothered. His shoulder doesn't hurt anymore and that's all that matters.

I hope he will be back this month. I am pretty sure, he will be an important player for us.

Well, at least when he returns, everyone who has been standing by the “only an injury” platform won’t go on a “told you so” diatriabe.
Still not really concerned since this can be worked on over the summer, but it does set him back a bit on progression. Instead of working on other parts of his game, he’ll be dedicating a lot of time undoing the adjustments he unfortunately made.

Lakers won against the Spurs
There’s never been a time in history when we look back and say that the people who were censoring free speech were the good guys.

So we talking about practice?
Kinda funny though, we are landblasting Fultz, yet he wasn't the one out there getting his ass kicked. Yeah it was those other guys who seem to escape blame. Tatum can play one quarter and he is superhuman, meanwhile we are heaping the whole team and franchise on Fultz saving us cause of various reasons of suckage on our team.
Alot of pressure on Fultz right about now, when the pressure should actually be on BB.

Lambasting.
And you’re in a Markelle Fultz thread. If you go into the game thread, you’ll find people calling for Brett Brown’s head. So I’m not sure what you mean by “escape blame”.

To be honest, me neither. I just have absolutely no clue how the coaching staff can see this jumper in the practice facility and let him carry on.
I think they'll let him play and hope they'll figure it out simultaneously or work on it in the offseason, but I'm really worried that this season will leave a scar that will take a long time heal, if at all.
If 3 months off took him to this point, why would a summer fix it suddenly? Clearly the Sixers have a different view regarding jumpers and think this is acceptable, either way journalists should jump on this and ask what the staff's coaching standpoints are regarding Fultz' development.

Well take a look at the game thread, I've posted there and yeah I said there that was on BB.
As for here and Fultz, maybe its just me but Fultz has never struck me as a good practice player. Some guys are just better with the lights on, jumping higher for jumpers, having another level to their game, and they just relax in practice. Ask Iverson. Or better yet watch Nik in practice, an allstar.....only point is its much ado about nothing.
With a bigger sample size we will see what happens with Fultz, but the overreactions to practice is just a bit much in this thread. We are talking about practice man.

we are talking about shooting fundamentals too. do you really think he just clowns around in practice all the time and suddenly in the games, he finds a better shooting-form? you can bring that practice argument when it comes to effort, not with simple shooting.
btw. fultz is a big time troll. just said twice he has big surprise for us and what r those? new shoes and what exactly now? his chestpumpshot? hes a weirdo

Honestly, this just feels like a ploy to shut him down for all the season, this is too fishy, let's remember:
Noel
Embiid
Simmons
And now Fultz?
Yeah too much coincidences, always our 1st pick for some reason has to miss his first season, I don't buy it period.

this is about as sad as it gets

We picked a guy first overall who knows nothing about NBA and only plays to earn a paycheck. We failed big time by not doing thorough background check. This is on BC. There is a reason why Ainge passed on this kid...
Now we have to treat him like a work-in-progress project which is ridiculous for a 1st pick

Re: Markelle Fultz Discussion III: For Fultz and going forward (see 2017 draft thread for trade discussion)
I never understood why he was seen as a number one pick. I didn't think that he was top ten.
He was a poor shooter in high school, shooting around 60% free throws and less than 30% from 3. He was a poor free throw shooter in college. He had a good run from 3 in his freshman year, but his free throw shooting was poor, his college recruiting reports had big question marks over his shooting. He also had really poor shooting workouits prior to the draft.
Can anyone explain why the 6's did not look beyond his college 3 point stat? It seemed so obvious just looking at stats over the past few years that he was not a good shooter, but the 6's drafter him for his shooting. I know this seems like hindsight now, as I was not on this board prior to the drat, but I can not understand why he was drafted.
