We have a lottery 1st round pick..... that should be off the table in all trade scenarios

Who's an NBA comparison, in your opinion - or closest comparison. Understood no one is ever 1:1.

Knicks are sort of maxed for roster spots though, if Burke takes Sessions spot.

He’s a good passer for sure. He’s an old school player in a lot of ways. Great defender, skilled post moves, good passer.. super old school type of game. He hoops like 8 hours a day. Good kid really and is still young (23.)

I always compare him to Paul Millsap. Really similar games. He had a 3 ball in his arsenal that he was shooting w me all Fall. Hasn’t even started using it in games, but is automatic in the mid range.

If we end up making a trade, then i think it’d make a ton of sense.

Knicks trade Courtney Lee, Kyle Oquinn , Lance Thomas

Portland Trades Evan Turner, Swainagan, 2017 first , 2017 2nd.

Or I’ll take expiring and a first. Whatever. Portland should make a good trade partner for us

Kanter for Shumpert, Frye and cavs first rounder.

I don't hate this and while that may seem like a tepid response, it's high praise relative to my thoughts on most trade proposals I see on these boards.

does anyone think a KOQ for Stanley Johnson trade makes sense for both teams?

DET gets a much needed backup 5...who is extremely productive. And the knicks take a shot on a controllable young player.

Boban plays like 8 minutes a game...he always has a good PER but he doesn't really bring much to the table except for being really tall and can finish around the rim. KOQ brings another element when drummond goes to the bench.

Ellenson is a PF isn't he?

Lebron doesn't like Kanter. They're not going to bring him in

MIN has two wings that they play - Butler & Wiggins. They are a prime trade partner for Lee and / or LFT

Lee / LFT

For

Aldrich / Bjelica / Patton

Knicks legend Aldrich only has 2 mil guaranteed next year. Bjelica is expiring. Locked into Gibson & Dieng long term. Maybe they’d be willing to move on from Patton to maximize this year.

Shorter contracts & a nice prospect. We might have to throw in WHG or the CHI 2nd to match value.

another conversation - would you trade Kanter for Thompson

Thompson will be making 16mil a year for two more years, less than we should expect Kanter to make, and is a stud on the boards and defense

Kanter is a much better offensive player and all around human, from what we can see

but if defense and toughness matter more then he's a better fit, right?

I think for Kanter we could even ask for additional value back
perhaps Osman?
