It seemed that by giving Dudley and Zaza away for free, that Dallas and Phoenix might have been amicable trade partners in the future. Maybe Phoenix cut us some slack on the Bledsoe deal.

If the Bucks applied for the Telly IPE they’d have room to absorb him. Deadline to apply is the 15th.

If that's how that works within the parameters of the CBA, I think that makes the most sense.

DPE is half of the injured player's contract or the non-taxpayer MLE, whichever is less.
That equates to $5.25M (smaller than $8.406M).
Ersan makes $6M

They cannot absorb him into the DPE; nor Hibbert's TPE if anyone was wondering.

Gotcha. I'm unfamiliar with DPE. I should've known better with TPE. I believe you can only absorb up to a TPE's value, not exceed it to 125% like trades with players. Good call out.

Nah, I took it as informative. I had a conversation about trade stuff with a buddy yesterday and we remembered TPEs have some stipulations, so Hibbert TPE for Ersan wouldn't work. Figured it'd get pointed out.

That Nets pick currently sitting at #8 doesn't really have as much value as people initially thought it would. If I'm Cleveland I seriously consider packaging it for Conley or Kemba if they really are souring on IT and his fit on that team already.

Tristan Thompson would be a pretty big improvement. What would it take?

Rarely view outside distractions as a reason to not trade for certain players, but the NBA golden rule should be to always avoid:

A) LaVar Ball
B) Kardashians

I’ll take his contract if we get the Brooklyn pick and we can shed Bledsoe/Henson from the books. Henson has been serviceable this season and that was an unexpected development. But the ability to add a potential top 8 pick is worth it.

Trade Middleton for the LAL pick and filler.. and we are looking at a pretty good reset that really won’t hurt us all that much in the W/L column imo.

The pick is 2 games back from being in the top 3. There is no reason to move it right now.

The reason is you have LeBron and a chance to win an NBA title with another good player. The pick doesn't do Cleveland any good.
