Game Thread 01/12: Pacers vs. Cavs

Post#1 » by boomershadow » Fri Jan 12, 2018 9:54 pm

The Indiana Pacers are either catching the Cleveland Cavaliers at the right time or the worst time.

After being blown out by host Minnesota by 28 points on Monday night, the Cavaliers suffered their most lopsided loss of the season, 133-99 at Toronto on Thursday night.

The Cavaliers (26-15) will play the second of back-to-back games Friday night at Indiana (21-20).

LeBron is pissed and we still don't have Myles Turner. I have low expectations.

Tough game even at home with them on night two of a back-to-back. No Myles, and they could easily get hot from deep and put undue pressure on our defense with an inside-out game.

No more 1/16. Even 2/16 is enough to beat this TAA (Team of Arrogant A-holes).

Not all is lost yet. If we manage to crawl within 10 before the break, their B2B tiredness might set in.

Someone send these clones back they messed them up. This is what you get when you clone your team from Bob's Discount Clones.

Think Collison needs to be more aggressive in putting up shots.

Couldn't watch much of the first half, but when I tuned in, FTs were like that: CLE 10/11, IND 0/1. Was it legit, or as usual with that team?

Turns out that this the worst time to catch the Cavs :(

Look, we already knew that we'd have no rim protection with Myles out. What that shouldn't have happened was all those fast break points for the Cavs. 33 of their 58 points are on the fast break. That's inexcusable. If we fix this in the second half then we could make this game. If not then nothing's gonna change.

I haven't had any particular complaints from the refs tonight other than the usual calls that Domas never gets.

The Cavs are just getting out on the break more and score more inside.

free throws weren't the problem. it was turnovers leading to breaks.

The conspiracy theorist in me says they took a good long look at that obviously not a flagrant foul right when we were getting momentum
