Tell me it ain't so. Hawks favored? I know we're better than they are and are at home and have just won
our last game. Didn't we bring our tank back with us? Surely, in our excitement, we didn't leave it in Denver !

Remember, Orlando has just 12 wins - - Only 1 more than Atlanta....

Noticed that Dennis really was sucking prioir to the Nuggets game. His points were there but he wasn't running the offense and Bud was actually using Delaney, with success, at the point at critical parts of games. Now sure how or why Delaney realized that actually running offense vs just trying to get his shot off was the way to go but he actually has looked pretty good. Dennis looked much better in the Nuggets game so hopefully continues to improve.

For me, in the second half, I want to see Dennis getting double digit assist games regularly. We've got shooters and finishers. 5/6 assists per game doesn't cut it.

Taylor has gotten buried on the bench it seems. Kind of a bummer.

I have high hopes for Dorsey but he looks out of place still.

:nonono: Orlando :banghead: what are they doing.
Just a bunch of miscast players trying to be a team.
How'd it go so wrong for them? Now they're interfering with our tank.

:-?

Exciting game. Tough loss. We really needed this to hold off Orlando. Dennis did everything but win this one.
Taurean Prince, on the other hand, had one point for the entire game. Our tank still runs!!

Dennis played his heart out and seemed heartbroken after this one. I feel for him man, trying to put this team on his back just to constantly end up on the losing end because we boast an island of misfit toys along with unseasoned rookies and sophomores as his support.

It's a hard L to swallow being up 1 with the ball 35 seconds from the final buzzer, but one that was necessary for the tank.

One year of this hardcore tank after 10 consecutive playoff years is fine. Heck, even another tanking season next year will be fine. But idk if I'll be able to keep rationalizing this with myself beyond that if we miss on those draft picks that result from the tank.

Riding in our tank this season is painful. Orlando continues trying to root us out of our position on the bottom
of the NBA. Even if the Hawks end up on the bottom, there is no guarantee that we get the #1 pick. Orlando
faces the same problem. Good thing is, there appears to be more than one desirable pick available.

With the trade deadline coming soon, maybe we should trade some veterans to Orlando for their pick. I know,
it ain't going to happen, but, just a thought.

As ATL Boy says, if this entire idea of tanking doesn't work out, we grab some most desirable draft picks and
they turn out to be just run of the mill players or worse, a complete flop, we will all weep bitter tears. We
recall that, a few years ago, there were four or five draft picks and all of them had a "guarantee" that they
would have their team in the NBA finals every season. We all knew that was impossible but it was great for
which ever team selected them to dream.

We have veterans who are short term. Their contracts are expiring. We have more big men than we know
what to do with. Who will still be on the Hawks roster after the trade deadline? Then, on draft night, we
will probably see more movement.

When Atlanta opens next season in their newly renovated home, we expect to have a newly renovated team
to show to all the fans. This season, Hawks got the dirty end of the stick with the schedule. We can only
hope, with everything else new, we will have a better schedule. We might even get a national televised
game. Gee. I hope everything works out, don't you.....

Tyler Dorsey knocked down some 3s in place of the injured Belinelli. Was good seeing him shoot with confidence out there.

Brooklyn's coaching staff is doing some impressive work on all these reclamation projects and underrated prospects:

Agreed! Even though I'm on here advocating losses daily it's still painful as heck to watch the games and actually want the Hawks to lose...frankly it's a$$ backwards and feels wrong. Sadly, we have to continue this tank for another 0.5-1.5 seasons.

I think you're right though GM. The league gave us a very tough schedule to start the year...no doubt INADVERTENTLY helping us because as we all know, Adam Silver doesn't do favors for the Hawks in any way shape or form.

Also you're right in that next season we might be returning maybe 4 or 5 guys at most. Entirely revamped roster coming soon.

I can't take much more of rooting for the Hawks to lose...April 10th can't get here fast enough.

I'm not rooting for losses, just accepting it when we do.
