Pathetic might be a bit harsh. Paranoid, quick to overreact, but pathetic? Nah....we Philly fans are a loving bunch and the great players that do grace us with their talents are forever remembered as legends, because they were great in one of the toughest cities in U.S.

This is ultimately how I feel. I was just saying earlier that I can understand the paranoia, doubt, and worry that Philly fans have over this. We won't know until he plays.

Unfortunately, some people take sport way too seriously. If they had more balance and put things into perspective, they wouldn't be getting into fits every time a video is released.

Colangelo is terrible

I thought we had a trade thread for this type of discussion.

@ 1:45, Fultz vs Oubre who is long, and is a pretty good defender. same exact shot, gets it off easily against a much better defender than macadoodoo

I hope your not making your case for Fultz based on how he played so far this year. He was a negative on the floor who was scared to shoot.

what case? the guy played 4 games with a bum shoulder. what are you even talking about

Righhhtttt. Bum shoulder. Meanwhile, hes 100% healthy and still shoots like a 3rd grader.

Now we have to treat him like a work-in-progress project which is ridiculous for a 1st pick

Yeah... and the reason Ainge passed on this kid is because he had a guy called Isiah Thomas and now Kyrie Irving and another shooting guard called Gordon Hayward... so the last thing they needed was a 19 year old rookie point guard at pick 1.

Anyone who believes Ainge passed on Fultz because he had a broken jumper (when it wasn't broken at the time) or because Fultz didn't do well in Quiz questions... is displaying mind numbing stupidity.

Nah he is right. It is pathetic. It's pathetic being around people that are constantly negative and bitching and I'm not just talking about basketball forums but in every facet of every day life. Nobody wants to be around energy drainers like that.

Fultz doesnt have elite athleticism. Thanks to RW and John wall’s having freakish level. But is it just.... average? How good is it? CJ McCullom or Bradley Beal level?

Probably Beal level. It honestly appears to me that Fultz doesn't have much mental maturity nor depth to directly deal with and address adversity. He also seems to have little passion for basketball. His assent to a top draft pick came very quickly and I wouldn't be surprised if he's just kinda wanting to enjoy being a millionaire and all that comes with it before having to refocus on playing basketball.

I'm sure the attention that Ben Simmons and Embiid were getting was also a little unnerving. Especially with Ben be named starting PG early on, when he probably thought he was being drafted to be the starting point.

I think a large part of this was on the 6ers.. Coach included. They seemed more intent to get Ben acclimated to potential stardom than to pay much attention to make sure their latest acquisition had the tools and support he needed to be successful.

So apparently the guy who got cut from his high school team has no passion for the game.

For all the questions about his competitiveness, Fultz is a worker, a self-made player, and a hoops junkie

CJ McCollum level athleticism

Actually if you ask me which Center I want for my perfect championship caliber team, I will chose Asik hands down

Also a fan of BMX biking that was the reason for the shoulder injury. Oops

If Fultz isnt passionate about basketball, he would have opted for another profession when he was cut in HS.

I think what fultz really needs is a sports psychologist. He is hesitant to pull up after he changes his shot. At this point, he is a worse shooter than simmons. His "shoulder soreness" could well be a psychosomatic symptom. It's pointless to get him out there being mocked and criticized for his inability to shoot. He will have "sore shoulders" again after a few games...it's all mental. Let him sit out the season, send him to chip engelland or psychologist whatever, fix his shots before coming back.

I have been in the camp that Fultz's problem injury has been a product of physical and a mental situation. But with that being said. Once you have a move / technique down, it takes more than a couple of months to change the good to the bad. Unless you are doing some kind of intense practice at doing the wrong thing.

In the flow of a game your mind is on automatic and the things you have trained to do come to the surface. That's just how it works. That's why you practice to get better and to get your mind aligned to what you want to do. Muscle memory is really about getting the brain and the body in alignment,

So IMHO if Fultz is healthy (mentally and physically) to go from a good shooting form to a bad shooting form in such a short period of time he either had/has some kind of mental break/ extreme lack of confidence, or he is trolling everyone.
You want it to be one way....but it's the other way.

after those pregame shots in london, i think a shoulder-setback is coming. why stop the blatant lying now? was good enough to fool 90 % of the fanbase the first few months
