Vuc in the Monroe role would be cool.

Just not into paying two guys that much money combined to play the same position. Both would barely be in my playoff rotation.

I like the idea of getting Hood, Favors and Johnson from the Jazz. Just wonder if we could resign Favors and Parker to $15 mil year and Hood to $10 mil year?

Just would have to ship out Delly, Snelly, Maker and Wilson from our aspect, but I don't think that would be enough to get those 3.

Would need Delly, Snelly and either Henson/Telly salary off the books.

Maybe something like

Bucks: Johnson, Favors, Hood and Frye
Cavs: Delly
Jazz: Henson, Snell, Maker, Wilson and Osman

I am rooting hard for Delly to get back with Cavs, Lebron misses him too much.

Ok don't kill me.

Middleton and Delly for Tristian Thompson, Jae Crowder and the Nets pick. Even though the Nets pick won't likely be top 4 it should be lottery at least and if our pick does stay here we can possibly package a deal to move up. Absorbing TT should be worth Crowder and Middleton is worth the Nets pick, Delly matches salaries and goes back to play with LeBron

Didn’t someone mention Thon/Delly for Vuc a while back? Count me in on that.

Outstanding. Don't see why anyone would kill you for that. Even the staunchest Khris fans would have to concede the potential benefits.

I think the assumption here is that Hammond still resides in Thon Island. I also think someone ran this by the Orlando board and they were down with it which surprised me. Although I suppose Vuc may be even worse on defense than I even remember

We all agree with this. That said I can't spend the next three years of my life without talking Bucks trades.

I would think people would jump on me saying Middleton is worth more, and if the Cavs dont blink at taking this I definitely ask them to throw in Osman

That's our guy. With lebron's contract about to end, i think they won't give away their only future piece.
It would have been awesome if the bucks get him though.

Yeah Cavs wouldn't go for that. You could maybe trade Middleton, Delly, and Thon for Triston, Shump, and the Nets pick. Don't know if the Bucks go for it. They might like Middleton and Thon too much. And the Cavs might want a superstar for the pick.

that said, if a good opportunity/deal for someone like kyle o'quinn or deandre jordan comes up, i dont think we should be afraid to pull the trigger. we need to fix the center position. and i'm actually pro-keeping thon as a development guy, but he shouldn't be playing major minutes. a swap with bolomboy might fix the backup C problem

Needs a lot of fixer-upping, not just tweaks.

- Middleton + Thon + Teletovic for Vucevic (1 yr) + Ross + Hezonja (1 yr)
- Jabari for Dedmon (1 yr contract w/ player option) + Taurean Prince
- Henson for Amir Johnson + 2nd rd pick (sell high, presume he'll drop-off again when not starter, salary clearance)
- Vaughn for Kuzminskas

Dedmon/Vucevic/A. Johnson
Giannis/Prince/Kuzminskas/(D. Wilson)
Ross/Brown/Hezonja
Brogdon/Snell/Kilpatrick
Bledsoe/Delly/Terry

Room for a max contract in the offseason to partner with Giannis and Bledsoe.

Coached by David Fizdale. Got no data it would all work, but I'd gladly take that.

Seeing a theme in some of these more recent trade proposals where we move either Mids or Jabari to get back guys who would provide critical roster depth and outside shooting. Just confirms how badly the front office has botched the draft and free agency the last three years that we are at this point.

On the other hand, even some very small transactions could improve this team significantly.

I'm thinking about the equivalent of when we brought in the likes of Jerry Stackhouse and Kurt Thomas.

Koufos?

That pretty much summarizes Koufos. The 10-year veteran routinely takes one for the team. Though he also has played for Utah, Minnesota, Denver and Memphis, he knows his place. He is an NBA player who accepts his role – mostly that of a durable backup center – and is willing to do pretty much anything that is asked.

Secure rebounds. Run the floor. Defend the interior. Create space for teammates with nasty, stubborn screens. He scores primarily off follow shots, half-hooks, occasional breakout dunks. The only time he ventures near the foul line in halfcourt situations is to shoot free throws.

Yet with the roster overcrowded with centers and the Feb. 8 trade deadline approaching, Koufos is well aware that he once again could be changing ZIP codes. He hears the whispers. His representatives recently met with Kings general manager Vlade Divac, who is open to a trade, but only if he receives value in return.

Koufos’ favorable contract is particularly appealing for teams in the playoff chase and unwilling/unable to absorb massive salaries or long-term deals. He earns $8.3 million this season and has a player option next year for $8.7 million. (Zach Randolph, by contrast, is on the books for $12 million this year and $12 million in 2018-19.)

“Take it day by day,” he said. “I understand it’s a business. If I get traded? Whatever happens or doesn’t happen, wish good things for others and good things will come back to you. And when your time is there, perform the best you can. I am thankful every day to have a job playing in the NBA.”

There are literally Realgm posters who would have drafted better with no pro scouting department at their disposal. Some of the decisions are so mind numbing that its unbelievable.
