I dont think there is much debate this game...Wall and Oubre gets a Anti-Vote! So he loses a player of the game vote for shooting that shot with 13 seconds on the clock!

Voted Mahinmi... basically because this will likely be the only time he’s in the running.

Very solid game from him.

I voted Wall, but I like LSBF reason above for a Mahinmi mention. Didn’t know he was capable of that lol

I'm going with Mahinmi here. It honestly felt like Orlando scored on a layup, dunk or 3-pointer on every single possession in the first half except when Mahinmi was in the game. He was the only guy on the roster who offered any resistance at the rim. The guards weren't even trying to fight through screens and Gortat over-committed on the penetrator every time, allowing an easy pass to Biyombo for the dunk.

Beal gets runner up. Yeah, he was bad in the 4th quarter as usual, but he was awesome the rest of the game and really kept the team in it despite the horrendous team defense. In the first 3 quarters, Beal was an incredible 12-15 from the floor and 3-4 from the line for 27 points. (In the final quarter, he was 0-2 from the field and 3-4 from the line for 3 points.) Beal also finished with 7 assists and 0 turnovers.

Its good if there is real debate about who was player of the game between Wall Beal and Mahinmi. That’s good news!

As a dad myself, and knowing that the CSN is doing a story about Kelly Oubre Sr and Kelly Oubre Jr, the Wizard; I'm going to say give the kid a damn break.

Kelly hit a huge 3 that put the Wizards ahead. I believe he thought the game was over when he jacked that shot. Yes, it was a terrible shot. His coach ripped him publicly. I thought that was a Scott Brooks bully move myself. I've seen Wall and Beal take some pretty horrific shots.

Callon Kelly Oubre out as strongly as he did was kind of not good. Fans are going to get down on him because they are not the type to remember his strong rebounds, his strong layups, and the three-pointer that he sank right before the bad shot that he took.

Oubre had a good game and he is a strong player but he won't get player of the game because of that shot.

Wall is turning into a mofo in a good way.

He's a lot like Michael Jordan was back in the day when he intimidated people to no end. Wall was like Hakeem Olajuwon out there. He be slapped one off the backboard that was a sure lay in.

But the play of the day was JW's Aaron Gordon rejection and stare down.

Aaron out adulted and out classed Wall because of a staredown?

Man, some of you guy are no fun at all. :D

He blocked the shot of a bigger opponent point blank so yeah, stare that mofo down. :)

(Personally, I think John plays better with an edge so...)

President Donald Trump referred to African countries, Haiti and El Salvador as "shithole" nations during a meeting Thursday and asked why the U.S. can't have more immigrants from Norway.

NatP4 and I are not Scott Brooks so we BOOING THE HELL OUT OF A SHOT THAT COULD HAVE COST THE WIZ THE GAME

Scott Brooks on the other hand shouldn’t say anything public about KO when Wall and Beal played like complete MORONs against Utah...and he was silent. The basketball IQ displayed by his stars was in the negative double digits and he was QUIET publicity. Going at KO for doing something moronic in the next game is unfair - and obvious. That what cost you credibility in the locker room and on the bench if you are the coach.... See Tyron Lue vs Spo and their handling of the king. And then see Brad and Pop. There are times when Kyrie, IT before him and Timmy got sat down for defensive lapses...and Jalen Brown learning that there is accountability for not having your hand up or making the right pass...kinda like at duke. Yeah so i wouldn’t blast Kelly Publicily but JW, Brad and Otto should talk to him and Scott brooks should light that @$$ up in private.

Damn i know I’m getting old when i see the stare down as idiotic and the block the reason why i cheer for the WallStar. When you block someone’s shot and then mean mug them...they might remember you grandstanding and come at you hard and play better next game because of the motivation. I saw walk softly and carry a big stick...and sneak up on these dudes instead of giving them reason to play harder against you...but hey thats just me...

Plus you dont get more points for frontin—-

See..I've never been one to worry about providing motivation to the opponent.

I figure if you're good enough/playing well enough it doesn't matter what motivation the other guy has.

He's still gonna get his behind kicked.

I want the Wiz to embrace that mindset. Just have to back it up. :)

Yeah its the backing it up thats the problem...

Think about how the Cavs and Lebron ALWAY play hard against us..but mail it in against other good teams sometime. You think thats accidental??? HELLLL NAW....JW and BB have annoyed Lebron enough that he takes them seriously everytime he walks into the gym. Plus if the Wiz WERE good enough to back it up they wouldn’t be in 5th place in the east. Do something...and act like you been there before... BUT PLEASE DONT FRONT WHEN YOU LOST BY 47 to the Jazz...and 30 some to the Nets... Doh

Return to Washington Wizards
