Damn i know I’m getting old when i see the stare down as idiotic and the block the reason why i cheer for the WallStar. When you block someone’s shot and then mean mug them...they might remember you grandstanding and come at you hard and play better next game because of the motivation. I saw walk softly and carry a big stick...and sneak up on these dudes instead of giving them reason to play harder against you...but hey thats just me...

Plus you dont get more points for frontin—-

See..I've never been one to worry about providing motivation to the opponent.

I figure if you're good enough/playing well enough it doesn't matter what motivation the other guy has.

He's still gonna get his behind kicked.

I want the Wiz to embrace that mindset. Just have to back it up. :)

Yeah its the backing it up thats the problem...

Think about how the Cavs and Lebron ALWAY play hard against us..but mail it in against other good teams sometime. You think thats accidental??? HELLLL NAW....JW and BB have annoyed Lebron enough that he takes them seriously everytime he walks into the gym. Plus if the Wiz WERE good enough to back it up they wouldn’t be in 5th place in the east. Do something...and act like you been there before... BUT PLEASE DONT FRONT WHEN YOU LOST BY 47 to the Jazz...and 30 some to the Nets... Doh
Speaking of the Cavs the Wizards are good enough to beat them to get to the finals.

They have the talent but I don't know if they have the maturity or the focus to do it for seven games but they can definitely beat them.

He's a lot like Michael Jordan was back in the day when he intimidated people to no end. Wall was like Hakeem Olajuwon out there. He be slapped one off the backboard that was a sure lay in.

But the play of the day was JW's Aaron Gordon rejection and stare down.

It's okay IMO to Mean Mug but make sure you're getting back on defense at the same time.

Do not stand back and admire your work...

My biggest problem with it was that the play was still going on. Rather than hustle down the court to be - I don’t know - in position for a rebound or something like that, John was standing in the back court posing.

I love John. He’s my favorite DC athlete. I did not like that move.
