I’m feeling ok but I’m nervous. I think we should win but they are also perfectly capable of beating us.

Really wouldve preferred to play Carolina again, I thought we slept through the Carolina game and still couldve won it, plus Cam is far more inconsistent than Brees. Right now Im a little nervous because it is Brees. But then I just have to think about our defense with our home field behind it (especially in the playoffs, that place is going to be crazy loud) and my nerves kind of go away. That first drive is going to be big for my mental state haha.

Re: 2017 season game thread
i hope case doesn't try to do too much (shouldn't really be a problem since he hasn't all year) with this being his first playoff action. that tends to be a factor
starting fast will be key, if we can get an early saints stop and a big score then the place will be rocking and hopefully its all downhill from there

I felt the exact same way. It's kind of weird given that they were the one that beat us, but I would have easily preferred them over NO, ATL and LA. As it stands, we're going to (hopefully) end up playing the two toughest outs in the Saints and Falcons. Just a tough, tough field this year. Excluding the Eagles without Wentz, you have the 13-win Vikings, four 11-win teams after us and then the defending Super Bowl representative that is peaking at the right time. Brutal.

Re: 2017 season game thread
well great first half, could have a few more points on the board but pitching a shutout so far is really big
need to keep the pressure up on defense and get a few more points on the board

I'm not going to lie, thought it was all over. I got up and was pissed after the fall start to start that final drive. But man I'm glad I didn't walk out. I still can't even describe what happened. Just wow.

I was sure it was over. I had actually picked up the remote so I wouldn’t have to watch any of the post game stuff.

"About time something good (i.e. lucky as sh*t) happened to us" -- Everson Griffin
On a serious note, really can't believe our defense fell apart like that. Granted, we put them in a bad spot with the horrible INT and blocked punt. But 24 points allowed in 17 minutes, including two go-ahead drives, is unacceptable.

I've watched that last play like 20 times now. Insane.

I can't help but wonder if Diggs was justified to be confident enough that no one was around him to not just step out of bounds. The most heart breaking scenario would have been him catching the ball and then getting tackled when he could have gotten out of bounds.

Re: 2017 season game thread
probably not, its certainly not the smart play
looks like he could have gotten out of bounds around the 30 yard line with about 4 seconds left
but man if it came down to a kick again........

I was screaming for him to step out when he caught it too — so were Keenum and Zimmerman, from what they said — but he’s right on the sideline. The only way anybody could have tackled him was to knock him out of bounds. Just a great, incredibly lucky play.
