For sure. I think it'd be cool to have different guests on each week to switch up the narratives and do live events where users broadcast a live game with commentary! I'm down for whatever as long as I have some support!

Been into podcasts for years but for reasons I cannot come up with, I've never subscribed to any basketball podcasts. I've just subscribed to a whole bunch!

Looks like the Stepien is doing one on us...

Kellan Olson of ArizonaSports.Com and the Empire Of The Suns Blog joins Cole Zwicker to check in on the status of The Timeline. We start out assessing the progress of the Suns’ young prospects in a macro sense, how they are adjusting to Jay Triano and suss out who exactly is part of the “core” moving forward. Then in true The Stepien and Ode to Oden fashion, we deep dive into the offensive and defensive strengths and weaknesses of Devin Booker, Dragan Bender, Marquese Chriss, and Josh Jackson, including how our evaluations have changed since each was drafted, what we see their respective ceilings as, what skills they need to improve on and where we would take each player in a re-draft. Lastly, we discuss the Suns’ 2018 draft options with their own pick and the Miami pick, and close by touching on where the Suns should go from here in terms of roster building. Enjoy!

That was a long one...2 and a half hours or something...but pretty good...went through each of our young guys in depth and then through most of the rest of our roster and then talked about who we should draft. Had to listen to portions at a time until finally finished.

Took me about 4hrs throughout the day to get through it but it's was pretty good. Very good in-depth analysis from both guys.

I love a good podcast, will give this new Suns one a crack.

I CANNOT listen to Espo spouting his garbage - we get it, you worked at the Suns for 5yrs and you don't any more. And the other one - I think it's Evan Sidery who hosts...Jesus he is hard to listen to sometimes. Sounds like he's taking my order at the drive-thru window

Espo is the worst. Solar Panel is only listenable when he's not there. The guy talks like he's top**** just because he worked for the Suns and he always speaks in such a demeaning way.

That is funny...taking your order. He does talk fast. Asks very specific questions. Brendon Kleen is pretty good. Those Max and David guys are pretty good on twitter.

Figured this thread is the best one for a little self-promotion. Just started "The Timeline: A Phoenix Suns Podcast" with another one of the Suns Reddit moderators and we released our 100-minute draft episode which covers Kawhi, a bit about our new coaching staff, potential selections at 1/16/31, and ideas for trading up or down.

Episode is available at https://thetimelinepodcast.com/2018/06/17/episode-one-a-new-hope/ or on Google Play, iTunes or Stitcher. You can also follow us on Twitter @TheTimelinePod.

Anyone listen to Dudley on the Woj Pod?

Dude is going to make a solid front office guy one day. He's reasonable, he's knowledgeable about team building and what teams should do. He's really knowledgeable on what's going on around the league. I'd love to see him as part of our staff one day

This isn't a bad 'general' NBA pod, but they typically savage the Suns/McD - this one is no different:

https://player.fm/series/open-floor-sis-nba-show/handicapping-the-mvp-race-breakout-season-candidates-bi-monthly-suns-update

Suns 'hate' starts just after 58 minutes...This is 4 days old, so obviously the Booker news hadn't hit yet.

McD gets KILLED by Ben Golliver...

It's not inaccurate. A narrative that I haven't really thought about is that trade McD made to get Marquese Chriss. I think it's clear now that he blew that one and Kings ultimately did win that exchange.

I guess this isn't the realgm one from a few days ago with Golliver and Pelton? I guess that was only 2 days ago. It is a Pacific division preview. It was pretty good. It seems like they were nearing an end after going through every team and then they start talking about the Suns more and it went on for about another 20 minutes or something, much of it about the Suns. It was those two but run by Danny Leroux who I think seemed to be the one who liked the Suns more.

Just started listening to that one at the 58 minute mark where they talk about the Suns...and just thinking 4 first round picks for Anderson's contract and Melton, the 48th pick....

Of course I liked the trade, but knowing what we gave up to get Knight (Lakers pick) and Chriss (3 first rounders) is crazy.

I'm not even finished with it but it is pretty amazing how bulletproof McD has seemed to be through all of his moves considering how fast Sarver used to cut bait with other GMs.

Return to Phoenix Suns
