Bates-Diop might sneak into the first round. I'd take him over Md's Justin Jackson. Both have long arms but KBD seems to really have taken a big jump in his game.

So sad we lost today. The way they fought back and had the game winner and to lose it like that is heartbreaking.

Hard to understand how Bruno gets only 18 minutes and so few touches. Cekovsky is 7'1 and has a nice touch, but he's just not the difference-maker that Bruno can be.

Devastating loss last night. You have to win that game up 1 with 3.9 secs left. Now they need to win at least 1 from Michigan or Michigan State at home or Purdue on the road. No wins, no NCAA's. How do you not have Ceko or Fernando on the inbounds pass? Fernando was limited due to the flu. He should have received a few more touches but tell Cowan that.

President Donald Trump referred to African countries, Haiti and El Salvador as "shithole" nations during a meeting Thursday and asked why the U.S. can't have more immigrants from Norway.

I have decided I'm going to support this coach no matter what this season.

They compete.

I'm really glad I missed this game.

I'm drawing a blank on whether or not the Big Ten has a conference tournament. Maryland might need to win that if they do because I am not optimistic about their record qualifying them for the NCAA tournament.

Yes, the Big 10 has a tournament and Md may have to win that. If they lose to Minnesota at home, they are NIT bound. But beating Michigan, Michigan State or Purdue would get them on the bubble if they finish 10-8 or 11-7.

They beat Minnesota today.

Maryland played some of its best ball without Bruno Fernando. The freshman was in foul trouble all night and picked up his third personal less than a minute into the second half. Maryland’s 21-2 run came entirely with him on the bench. It helped that Cekovsky was throwing down nearly everything thrown his way and Joshua Tomaic was steady across the board in his absence. It’s the first time Maryland has won without a big impact from Fernando since the new year.

It's good to see Cowan being more of a distributor and Ceko stepping up. Joshua Tomaic looks like he's going to be a player before his Maryland career is up.

It's a win they had to have against a team more decimated than they are. Without Reggie Lynch to protect the rim, Maryland kept throwing lob pass after lob pass to Ceko and he flushed most of them. On to Indiana on the road on Monday. That's another must-win game before they host Michigan State next Sunday.

Gotta wonder if this is a sign that Moses Brown isn't coming AND Bruno's going to the 2018 NBA draft. Herard does sound interesting but... gotta wonder why his minutes go way down as a soph, and his t/o and fouling rates are high. Solid rebounder though.

It has nothing to do with Moses Brown and more to do with they need bodies. Losing Ceko, probably Bruno and Bender might be done due to injuries. Adding a 6-11 big for 1 1/4 years is more about depth than anything else.

Does he have to wait till next year?

I can't really read all of the comments right now because I'm just using my cell phone and it doesn't show much of the text or any of the Twitter remarks..

I know it's wishful thinking but I sure hope Bruno stays.
