Simple question, should he make the allstar team?

No. There are just too many better guards that deserve it more in the west.

Only if he starts going by everybody, all the time.
New York said Mitchell wasn't the guy you trade the sink for, then they traded it for Mikal, lol.

Not even in the East, my guy. The guard positions are too loaded as is with good but not great players, a tier above Lou.

If the all-star game was based only on scoring then yes he would easily make it. Unfortunately, defense also matters and when looking at overall game Williams isn't better than guards Harden, Butler, Curry, Westbrook, Paul, or Lillard.

Re: Lou Williams - all star?
Well, who is having the better season in the west?
Curry, Harden, Westbrook will probably be starters...then you have Butler, Thompson...
Paul has been injured a lot...Lillard as well and POR has a bad record...
Williams is keeping a decimated Clippers team afloat...

Re: Lou Williams - all star?
In my mind, it would be a massive disappointment if he didn’t make it, I feel people are using his reputation far too much to discredit him. He has carried the most injury ridden team in the league to playoff level in the Western Conference; that, in my opinion, should could for something.
There is this weird assumption that Damian Lillard has been better this season, but they are equally inept defensively and Lou Williams is putting up similar scoring totals on substantially better efficiency, and has a similar (albeit worse) assist to turnover ratio. I’m not dissing Lillard or anything, but the load that Lou Williams has shouldered with the D-League roster this season deserves recognition.

Dude, this is the All-Star game. What do you mean defense matters? For overall perception/recognition in the league, yes defense is required, but the All-Star game is about offense and entertainment. I'm all for Lou going to the game as a reserve. I think he deserves it, especially being it is hosted in LA this season and no Lakers will be making the game.
It is no longer East vs West too, so maybe the reserves will be picked from a pool of both conferences, or the West will pick more guards to add to the pool, and east picks more forwards. Who knows.

LouWill is an all star! Look at his starting lineup, I don't even know who "T. Wallace" is. The clippers are in playoff contention, louwill is carrying way more than Lillard and the team records are almost even, and louwill's scoring is no joke.

Paul has always been a very good defensive point guard and is fairly good again this season. Westbrook is more an average defender and Lillard is moderately poor on defense. The problem is Williams is a horrific defender. Looking at DRPM, Lou Williams is the 2nd worse defensive player in the NBA.
