Is there another example of a coach with as little (coaching) success as Kidd who's only check/balance is the owner?

One common defense of Kidd is that his doubters don't have the experience or knowledge to accurately judge his performance. And inexperienced, non-basketball people (the owners) are the ones making the final call on Kidd. Some cognitive dissonance there.

theres only cognitive dissonance.

I still see us as an up and coming, building team. I am not sure average age truly matters with this team.

Our best player is 23. We go as he goes and he's young. That makes us young. The next players that matter to this team are Parker, Middleton, Bledsoe, Brogdon and Brown. That's a pretty young group led by a super kid.

The rest? Complimentary / stop gap players who age matters not. They may or may not be on this team when we are trying to get ours. The above for the most part will be.

We are young. We have been injured. Doesn't matter anymore, we need a coach that can make more from less. So that when we have more we're in great shape. The Spurs somehow keep chugging away regardless. It ain't luck.

Kidd is a poor coach and has plenty of time to improve. He really hasn't from my view of the world. His resume doesn't include being a coach of anything. Times up for learning on the job.

We need to start winning games. Get some odd 50 wins. Win a series. Take the step. I fear it will be hard to take that step with Kidd at the helm. The next step? That one wont be hard for Kidd, it will be impossible. Get it done and get it done sooner than later.

If the organisation truly believes in half the **** Horst apparently said then we have huge concerns moving forward.

WTF is this answer?

You can be a young, up and coming team and also be better than a 39-43 team in terms of point differential (which we currently are).

Someone posted on here or twitter yesterday that weighing minutes played into it somehow the Bucks were like the 8th oldest team in the league, I think Cavs were the oldest. I don't remember the criteria exactly. But it was factoring in Thon as being 20 too so that skews it a bit too.

For sure. And be better than our 23-20.

this is an example for our situation. just like an european soccer team bayern munchen;

a few months ago coach carlo angelotti was fired by munchen despite the winning and leading image in the league and champions league cause with the bad football played. they thought they could not reach their goals at the end of the season.

so;

maybe we win sometimes maybe over .50 but the overall picture is not promising and according to many of us that thought is potentially team can not be used efficiently.

so in this case to me the thing to do is pretty clear

Maybe Horst should be promoted to Bucks PR director since he's so good at spinning crap into gold.

This team really isn't that young. Most are actually the perfect age compete right now. Of our top 10 in minutes, 7 of 10 are age 25-30. Then you have Giannis who despite his age is already a legit superstar. Thon and Sterling are the last 2, the only guys truly young/inexperienced/raw, and Sterling wasn't even playing rotation minutes till recently.

No matter what happens, you guys are the best. Truly.

No way I could cope with my entire adult lifetime of watching an inept Bucks organization without you all. :beer:

The more things change the more they stay the same. That should have been the Bucks' slogan for the last 25 years. Actually true for once and would save on marketing costs.

I’m going to watch every game until Giannis leaves despite the terribleness surrounding him. I feel confident saying he will be the best player in a Bucks uniform that I will ever see. After he’s gone it will be hard to watch.

I did watch the Keith Van Horn era though so I guess I’m just a gluten for punishment.
