If we had our own pick, I might not mind tanking. Maybe Jabari can save our chemistry.

Now it is truly billboard season.

SOB can/will return at the right time. At the moment the casual fan still hasn't quite figured out the team is underachieving and the last three number one picks are busts.

Trade deadline is three weeks away. Let's see what they come up with or do in that time period.

In the meantime, the #FireKidd avatars are roaming free in social media and are quite effective IMO.

You saw how much Lasry was a basketball fan who dreamed about being a better player from his display during the all-star celebrity game. Took it really seriously and had a little game tbf. I think that ties in to his somewhat irrational devotion to Kidd. He developed a real affinity for him from his NJ/Brooklyn luxury seats. That's one factor in Kidd being virtually bulletproof here in spite of modest results.

Another factor, and one I think is more rational, is I believe Lasry manages Kidd's and Schwartz' money. So there's a long-term relationship he wants to maintain here unless the situation becomes really disastrous. Giving him an 18 million dollar extension for 3 years that he's in the first year of doesn't help either.

So Horst is a virtual puppet. Nobody should have ever bought into the illusion that he has real power here. I didn't hear the interview, but sounds almost identical to Hammond, delivering some company lines with a stutter because spewing complete b.s. without pause takes a special person.

When I listen to David Stearns during an interview, you can just tell he's extremely smart and has a plan. He sounds like a skilled poker player who knows how to play his cards. Horst comes off as a front office puppet with limited authority.

I did watch the Keith Van Horn era though so I guess I’m just a gluten for punishment.

Maybe you should go gluten-free. :)

I tend to place almost zero importance on what GMs etc say to the media/public.
I feel like there are no real insights to be gleaned- this is PR, not actual information.

Am I crazy?

I think this is mostly the case but the answers Horst gave jive with what many of us see as a problem inside the organisation.

All of this. Valid points, but when it comes to the Bucks and the situation we've been facing for the past three decades, there's more to be concerned about.

I don't put it past Kidd to quit before our owners decide to move on.

Same. Old. Bucks.

Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.

The king is dead, long live the king.

Etc...

I'm here until Giannis leaves. Then... dropping this **** franchise will be the easiest decision of my life.

So this is it, we are stuck with this crap. Once in a lifetime player and we have the local bar league running our team. Wish Mark Attanasio bought us.

I'll agree that most don't recognize the problem with the picks, but based on my recent times at the bar, I think people have realized that the team is underachieving. Casual sports fans, or maybe casual Bucks fans would be a better term, I have run in to at some bars recently have all commented that they think Kidd needs to go. That a team with this much talent shouldn't be hovering around .500. I think there is substantial recognition that things aren't going right among the fans, I just don't think the media in town care enough about the Bucks to display public pressure.

Horst is just toeing the company line, but behind closed doors he is about to undo all the wrong LED have wrought unto the organization.

lol what do you guys expect on a local talk show? "youre right fam, kidd blows, we're working on getting him out as we speak"

i don't really see how this changes anything. it's pretty obvious that the owners have the final say in firing/hiring a coach. and obviously they feel very strongly about kidd.

and even if they plan to fire kidd at the end of the season (which we can all agree there's a very good chance that this doesn't happen), they're not going to publicly say anything now.
