I think I voted for Melo once earlier in the year, but this game was his without question. He was unconscious.

This Steven Adams postgame interview

He actually had some insightful quotes about the team being focused on doing the things that allow them to be successful.
Then they went off the rails asking him about Game of Thrones and Star wars and Steven asked them to let him go back to the locker room.

Weird game. The defensive drop off when Roberson was off the floor was very noticeable. It's embarassing that none of these guys is rotating properly without him out there with him.

First game in a long time Russ looked out of it. Too mayn shots, weird plays.

Glad that Melo got it going again.

I'm getting some strong Cam Payne vibes from Ferguson.

To me it looks more like trash teams stop making shots

You guys noticed that Melo stayed out with the bench at the end of the third qtr? He completely stopped their passing around offense but he got them buckets in return. I hope billy has seen the light and Melo starts playing with the bench a bit more. Melo hit on the first possesion than they double teamed him on the next and he passed out of it. Ofc Huestis missed but thats not the point.

17-8 over that last 25. Not bad. Can't wait to see what they do to address the bench at the deadline.

Hornets
Kings
Lakers

That part is pretty easy to explain.
“If you're getting stops and you're making threes and the other team's not scoring, that's when you're going to see a huge point difference there,” coach Billy Donovan said.

Seven of the next eight are against playoff teams. Beating Charlotte off a b2b, Kings with benched starters and lakers missing ball and losing KCP, doesn’t really mean much.

Those are the games they were dropping earlier in the season. So getting blow out wins is a big change. Of the playoff teams they have to have the worst record versus teams under .500. So while beating these 3 teams in a row doesn't mean much on paper it is light years better than dropping those games like earlier in the season.

While I'm as down on this team as any and was always looking for the things that would go wrong more then then things that could go right it always means something when you beat the teams you are supposed to beat. If they can win the games they are supposed to win they could end up the 4 seed and maybe win a series against Minny. If they don't win the games they are supposed to win they could end up with a late lottery pick that could end up being just good enough, with Russ and Adams along with what I expect down the line from Ferguson to be stuck in purgatory for a VERY long time.

I agree that ugly wins are still better than losses but don’t think the three game winning streak really means that this team has turned the corner. If we win 5-6 of he next 8 then I’ll be much more hopeful.

They are 17-8 over the last 25. They turned the corner a long time ago. Seems like you missed it.

I missed nothing because unlike you, I don’t disappear when reality doesn’t fit my obsurd opinions. At the five seed they are closer to missing the playoffs than to the four seed. Again, if they’ve turned the corner it will be evident over the next eight games.
