Trading Jabari would be a huge mistake. He is the only true isolation player on the team and he will have a bargain contract due to his previous injuries. Middleton, Giannis and Parker compliment each other well. Once all three are healthy and properly coached Milwaukee will become a top 3 Eastern Conference team.

Bargain contract, we can all hope and dream. I'll be shocked if it's below 20 mil per year

I'm guessing if 20M were on the table that would have been a done deal from both sides. I am hopeful it lands around there, but prepared for more and can't rule out him taking the QO if he really wants to be on himself (which I think would be a disservice to the Bucks and way too risky for him, but he isn't your typical dude)

Pretty crazy how quickly the All-Star break is creeping up on us. Excited for Jabari's return. Not excited for the pending anxiety and doubt all of us will have every single time Jabari jumps or cuts or takes a jump-step.

Sucks man. It was already like that for I'm sure most if not all of us before this 2nd tear. Now it's 10-20 times worse.
And what really sucks is that's not something that's gonna go away 2, 3, 4 years from now. Almost takes away from the enjoyment of everything.

**** that, I am going to grip it and rip it. Just enjoy having him back out there, may just need to take a valium before every game, which would probably be good for my blood pressure anyway.
The other perk, no one has ever torn their ACL three times in the NBA, amirite??

Added perk of seeing CHL dookie all over this board and no one will be able to say anything back...haha
But yea I'm with you, gonna try to enjoy the positive of hm while it lasts.

That is definitely not the most flattering picture. Whoever picked it must be friends with CHL.

I've been encouraged by the videos showing him much more spry on his toes and focused much more on a safe landing. Leads me to believe they helped him understand where he is putting his body in stress situations, really hope they keep on him about that until it becomes natural for him.

Re: The Jabari Discussion Thread - Rehab, Game, Contract - NO DEAL, GOES TO RFA
If he can come back around the Allstar break and just give some good minutes off the bench. Add one other big body somehow and the rotations could really even out. No more Khris at the 4 and no more 40+ minutes every night for K and G. That alone is huge. At this point Jabari might even improve the defense when he's on the floor...

Feb 1st against the Wolves would be a good game for Jabari to make his season debut.

That would give him 8 games before the ASG break. Two back to backs so realistically he would probably play 6 games in those 2 weeks, then get 8 days off. Sounds plausible.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Sounds great. Even if it's just 15-20 mins per game. I'm sure he'll be on a minutes restriction but with the Bucks that might mean "under 35".

Still troubled by two years ago when Kidd played that big 3 all 40mpg including injured Khris to win a couple meaningless games. That made the difference between getting Jamal Murray at #7 and Thon at #10.
Of course who am I kidding. They would taken Thon at #7 probably.

It's like when a little guy hits a HR in the majors, he gets the fever and swings for the fences every time he is up.

technically for every year of age without a reinjury the odds of it happening again are lower

Re: The Jabari Discussion Thread - Rehab, Game, Contract - NO DEAL, GOES TO RFA
Wow. I am definitely going to be a bit nervous at first with him and then probably edgy if he he goes down hard. But I really think you guys are going a little overboard on that.
He looks like he's been coached up on this. He's lighter and in much better shape. I assume his leg is very strong as I trust in Suki and his work ethic. He looks like he's been educated on some of the things that put him in a higher risk situations, like he seems to be on his toes quite a bit more which is great. Not sure on the footwork, say on a euro or his landings (far too often on 1 foot) but I gather he knows these issues and they work on it.
I look forward to finally having a guy who I can trust to get us points. For example and I don't know why, but I do not trust Middleton with open 3's. He's not like a Redd or a Allen. Parker is going to bring that special talent that I think we so soon forget. Granted we have Giannis our physical freak of nature, but Parker was our #2 overall pick and key talent prospect for us. Still is. His return will be a big impact.
Just get us a decent backup C. We may have a pretty good round 1 playoff team.
