but that's exactly what the sixers are doing tho? why let him shoot 3s at all, because right now that form is forming bad muscle memory

maybe things have changed in the past two days or so, because when i saw the videoclip of him shot putting 3 point attempts, it looked like he was still having trouble lifting his arm up.

I'm 99% confident It's not shoulder strength. I can't really get too deep into the details of why I'm that confident, but that's my confidence level.

Alright I'm 180ing from my previous post. Guess they are just going to throw him out there with him not shooting 3s.

Pretty important to get some shooters around them then. Not sure how Anderson or TLC can play this year.

On a scale from 1 to 10, what is your concern that this issue derails or limits Fultz's long-term development. Should we be pushing the panic button here?

I think the only people who can answer this are shooting coaches who worked with NBA players to change their shot. Did those players go through phases where their shot looked like that of a middle schooler's? I have no idea. The fact that this situation is novel to Brett Brown makes me think it's not a normal part of the process. I wouldn't let him play at all this year if it were up to me. He's going to be a huge net negative if he refuses to shoot 3s. I'd lock him in a gym and not open it up till next summer.

If they do end up throwing him out there, Brown did say that Fultz has been playing backup PG, and said not TJ. Without JJ, I have to wonder what that means. Sure its assumed that Bayless will start while JJ is out, but if they are going to throw Fultz out there as backup PG, perhaps we can start TJ instead of Bayless if it happens.

Maybe I'm just grasping at straws to not see Bayless though.

They can give Young a try, can’t be worst then who they are running out there. We still have a empty roster spot to fill also.

Brown and Colangelo need to do whatever is best for Fultz' long-term development. I wouldn't put him on the court until he's 100% ready, and that means shooting 3s. I don't care if it's physical or mental; he has to be confident shooting 3s. I wouldn't let him develop a habit of passing up open shots.

If his shot is good for 12-15 feet, then why do his mechanics break down when he goes beyond that? He just needs to put more force behind it and most of that force comes from your lower body anyway.

If his shot is good from 12-15 feet then he should be playing because him being a good NBA 3pt shooter predraft wasn't realistic anyways, at least his first seasons.

You know the only positive to this is Stephen A was the same guy slamming the knicks for picking Porzingis and looked how that turned out for the Kincks.

Alright, last one, I'm predicting he plays against Milwaukee at home.

I love these go to .49 and look where Brown says he looked good yesterday. As he says it he shakes his head no. LOL the body does not lie. At 1:29 coach Brown says he does not care about the 3 pointer he wants him to feel good and confident. And he affirms this with a head nod yes. And all the while he answers the questions in a defensive posture. What you hiding coach Brown.

Biggest flaw with his current mechanics is he shoots it from his left hip. Crazy but thats like the crazy hot cousin of lonzo ball's shot

How is this shooting from his left hip?

http://www.nba.com/sixers/video/teams/sixers/2017/07/17/1533221/1500295019002-markelle-1533221

Also we need info that is not sourced from within the Sixers organization. None of them are to be trusted. Some of them don’t know the whole story, and some of them outright lie.

Embiid sounds impressed with fultz. He was "dominating"?
