Last season I can see the comparison and would consider LaVine actually... Before the ACL injury anyways.

But this season... Booker, atleast offensively, has made me eat crow. He has improved so much... He is a already an elite scorer top 10... Easily. And he's 21 years old and he gets guarded well most games too...

Booker is on track to be the greatest scorer of all time... I'm not really sure much else needs to be said since both hardly play D.

Booker till Lavine doesnt prove us wrong. Before injury I do feel Lavine was better. If he can be good as Booker I'll take it. It will take time for Lavine to get full lift under his legs and get conditioning where it was.

Booker, and it’s not even close.

I’d take Booker over Wiggins too.

I’d take Booker even if Lavine never got injured.

How is this a thread?!

You dont score 70 pts in a game with a little luck.
Dude is a talent you can build around.

Lavine might become a solid starter but thats it.

Kids get too excited by some fancy dunking. Smh

Booker or Murray would have been even better 8-)
Between lavine or booker, i pick booker. Lavine will be great too.

Devin Booker is like a Michael Redd. And Michael Redds don't win jack in this league

I looked it up, and Lavine ranked 441st in that metric last season.

Well if we're gonna go by last year's #'s, Lavine is a better offensive player. He outshot Booker from the field (45.9 to 42.3) and from 3 (38.7 to 36.3)

Better offensive player? I don't think so. If you want to call it "better efficiency", fine. But one player is scoring so much more that I'm fine with some worse efficiency. Booker is already a 25 PPG scorer and will probably score even more in the next few years. Volume matters a lot, especially when you can drop 40 or 50 (not to mention that 70-point game) without an issue in this league.

Durant at the same age was already the league's scoring champ at 30.1ppg at significantly better True Shooting %.
Lebron at 21- 31.4ppg
Jordan as a 21 year old rookie - 28.2

Booker is a great scorer but he's still way behind at this point in his career.

Lavine averaged 18-19 ppg with Towns and Wiggins on his team. Booker right now is more like a looter in a riot.

That being said, I like both players. I just think that Lavine is getting over crapped on in this thread when he's proven to be just as good a shooter if not better. And they to this point both suck on defense so that's a wash. Either way no team is ever winning anything with either one as a top guy, unless their D improves dramatically

Devin Booker. He has the potential to become one of the top 5 players in the league.

Booker, of course. If You take look how NBA players voted for NBA All-Star game this season, you will see Booker at #4 on West guards, ahead of such great backcourt players like CP3 or Butler! I don't think he is already that good, but it says how his talent is respected by other NBA players, despite he playing for a garbage team.

Lonzo Ball has a lot of All Star Votes too.

Is this a trick question? - Stephen A
KC: Do you still think your a championship caliber team?
Gar: I never said that and correct me if i'm wrong
KC: You were asked that question at the news conference announcing Thibodeau's dismissal and you answered yes

It’s likely closer than most will think it is on the surface but the answer is still Booker. Younger, healthier, and he’s probably both a better scorer and a better all around player.

Hmmm... let’s see. A perennial 20+ppg scorer who has the ability to drop 70, or a guy just coming from a season ending injury.

Lonzo Ball has a lot of All Star Votes too.

I'm talking about NBA players votes only. Lonzo is #13 and Booker #4 (backcourt West)... it is the giant difference in votes between this two.
